This song was their biggest hit in 1970. Tony Burrows the lead singer released other songs under different names. "Gimme Dat Ding" (the Pipkins), "My Baby Loves Lovin'" (White Plains), "United We Stand" (Brotherhood of Man) & "Beach Baby" (the First Class).

Tony Burrows was a session singer. In 1970 he charted three hits in three different groups in the UK top twenty. All in the same week. He didn't however perform all three songs in a single edition of Top of the Pops. That is an urban myth.

Wow, haven’t heard this song in many years. This song reminds me of The Cowsills song “the rain, the park and other things”. I know you’d like that one, it’s better than this one.

We've only one stop left on our Tony Burrows Five Time One Hit Wonder Tour. (Which is debatable, as I think at least one of the incarnations of bands had more than one hit. But heck, it still sounds neat.) Last stop will be "United We Stand", by "Brotherhood of Man". Which is a weird band name when the first person who sings in the song is a woman.
Anyway, that was a good catch about, "The Cowsills." There was a style of music going on known as Bubble Gum Rock. Easy songs to like. Easy to sell records. No one getting angry. But I think they were underappreciated as the background music of many young people growing up.
Tony is still around. I caught a RUclips video of him singing this year. Kinda hope he knows people still enjoy is music.
