Hey Morgans, We just got back home in Springdale, AR after traveling about 120 miles east to Mountain Home, AR and got to see a 100% total eclipes for the first time in our life. WHAT AN UNBELIEVEABLE EXPERIENCE! What and awesome God we serve.

We had to deal with a little bit of the traffic from people coming back into Missouri after they left Mountain Home.
We went to West Plains Missour and it was worth the traffic to see that totality!

The last eclipse passed directly over us in Franklin NC and it was truly amazing. To get to see a total one in a lifetime is unique since they only pass over the same spot on earth every 360 years or so.

      @BirdYoumans Месяц назад

@@Thegdee If you like to travel you can go wherever the path is but the path will be different every time for 360 years give or take. The last one that I saw that was total passed over Franklin NC, my home. But this time we only got 80 percent or so. Not the same experience I can assure you. Still neat tho. North America is so large that it can contain many paths for a total.

    Awsome display of Gods artwork!
We drove a little over an hour away to West Plains Missouri to see it. We had just over 3 minutes of totality and I have to say that the lead up is nothing compared to when you can take off your glasses and look directly at the black hole in the sky with pink and purple sparkles dancing around the edges. I could see the loops of the suns magnetic field through my binoculars.
Unless you actually see it at totality you dont truly understand what it looks like.
On the down side traffic throughout southern Missouri was bad.
I am kind of proud that my little town of Seymour Missouri disrupted traffic for tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of people due to the 2 stop lights we have on Highway 60. Traffic was backed up for 12 miles eastbound in the morning and on into the night going westbound.
Unlike the out of state people I was able to take back roads home and only got stuck for about 25 minutes on the way back.
So glad I got to go see it.

Absolutely wonderful experience where we went in AR. Up at 4, packed and gone. Was very interesting to see the fauna shut off for their day and the frogs and crickets start up their night. Twas a real pain to get back home. Don’t know why ARDOT did not cancel their construction on the I-40 Memphis bridge over the Mississippi River with the additional traffic. It took us almost 5 hrs to traverse the last 40 miles of our trip. But it was worth the trip. We were able to see a little red dot and sprite off of the bottom of the moon where the sun shone through a crater on its surface. We got home for the last 8 minutes of the NCAA game. Congrats UCONN. Give a girl a credit card and mountains can be moved. I do my share of getting needed stuff online too.

We live south of Erie about 10 miles and I was amazed at how dark it got and how fast it got light again as soon as the moon moved just a little. I went to see if my chickens were on the roost but they were not

Here in the very NE corner of Arkansas (Along the side of the Missouri boot hill), we had total darkness for about 3 1/2 minutes...the neighbor has a security light on the power pole, and it was dark enough his light came on came on.

We had 100% in Ovilla Texas (Between Dallas and Waxahachie). The eclipse far exceeded my expectations, it was so impressive.

Just north of you guys and the rain clouds rolled in shortly after the eclipse started. If I had drove here to try to see it I would not have been happy.

It was 97.7% (per the local weather report) at our home in northwest Arkansas. It was like you turned down the dimmer switch.

It was Amazing in Upstate NY It turned on all my outside lights! When it hit 100% you could see it without the glasses on and it was a beautiful experience you'll remember for life.

Went through this eclipse as a senior in high school in Ashland Oregon in 1979. Remember it got not totally dark but more than what you saw out there. We didn't have the glasses to watch back then but welding class got a good view through there helmets. I do remember the news saying we won't see this eclipse until 2024 again and thinking Oh my I will be old!. Funny how time creeps up! Keep up your channel going!

Live in central Maine, went over to some families property about an hour and a half North of us in Abbott, ME. Great view of it at 100%. Glad we know all the local roads and stayed off the main routes and interstate. GOD's creation has some truly amazing displays.
