How to repair Computer Power Supply Troubleshooting Repair Tips
i explained practical How to repair computer ATX switch mode power supply SMPS very easy. this PSU is using SDC2921 IC which is PWM and intelligent power supply monitor. i shared my easiest and perfect troubleshooting techniques practical troubleshooting. smps concept and troubleshooting repairing or understanding repair switching mode power supply basics and working principle. how to troubleshoot input electromagnet induction filter, EMI, bridge rectifier and capacitor. we get 330 VDC at main capacitor. after hat the +330 volts are applied to standby power, which is SMPS and makes +5V SB, these stand by voltage are applied to motherboard which pull down the PS ON green wire to zero level, so the ENABLE OR REMOTE ON or CONTROL pin of #smps will go low that will enable pulse width modulation. and also i discussed smps basics. after watching this video you can capable to:-

Hello my friend! I want to once again let you know that I and I am sure all the others commenting here really appreciate your SMD power supply videos. Best of all they are in the English language which I do appreciate. There are many excellent videos coming out of India and they are detail like yours and well presented but the problem was most of them was in Hindi. I can attest to the fact after spending hours researching and learning SMD POWER SUPPLIES that the information you present in such an unselfish way is invaluable. I had to make the transition to learning and understanding SMD power supplies back in 2009 when my 26 inch CRT JVC TV started having problems. During that time most of my time had been in linear bulky power supplies until I went to work in 1982 in Aerospace as an NC and CNC technician where extensive training was provided in SMD Power Supplies. Due to the urgency of keeping the equipment up and going most power supply problems resulted in a remove and replace and repair later. I did get involved in some of the bench repair of SMD when conditions allowed but as you know switching power supplies requires a through understanding and dedication as I committed my self to. There is some difference when it comes to industrial SMD power supplies as they are usually built to strict precision and standards. When it came to consumer electronics such as home appliances, TV’s and etc in the present day and time things are still being done the same way but with new improved technology and now I am having to deal with the tiny surface mounted devices and microscopes. I have been involved in Electrical and Electronics from service with the United States Air Force as Computer systems specialist world wide, Power plant technician and operator, and many other disciplines for the past 49 years so I appreciate the excellent information you have provided and so detailed leaving nothing to guess about. Started out when almost everything relied on the old vacuum tubes and now dealing with design work involving Raspberry PI. I am now retired now but still involved in the repair and service helping out who ever I can. Thanks to you my friend you have made me a better technician. Keep up the excellent work as I have watched all your YOU TUBE videos and spreading the word about your amazing channel. Thanks for taking the time to read my commentary but I believe in you and you deserve the recognition.

Thank you for your detailed guide about power supply units. I was very less succes rate in powersupplies but I think now I can do better because of your class. Some powersupplies of branded PCs like Dell and IBM will have lots of protection circuit and are far more complicated than this. and the worst thing is we can't get any details about their ICs even if we get details we won't get the replacements for them. What to do at that time, because those PSUs are lot costlier than normal computer SMPS and many time we won't get new PSUs also. We have to throw them only because of SMPS issue.
And also some time we get burnt boards. According to you a normal SMPS with how far burnt is good enough to repair than buying a new one.

In my power supply does not turn on when power on. It just try to on and immediately turns off, looks like short circuit, fan try to move.
