On the rear brake comment: I don’t hover over the rear brake, my foot is either just to the right of the brake pedal (so I can quickly swivel the toe in to tap it), or my foot is further back with the ball of my foot on peg. It really comes down to where and what conditions I am riding on (dirt, pavement, steep grades, etc). For twisty roads like this it’s the former.
