Not a convincing conversation from anti Modi gang.PM was responding to earlier public announcement of their leader Rahul Gandhi regarding distribution of wealth among 99% population which his govt will snatch from 1% financially well off population.The people who are financially good as they generated their wealth after years of hard work.Like our politicians & political parties,beaurocrats, they have not looted the Treasury.Kapil remained part of the govt & at one time was law minister.But he did nothing to improve the working of EC, judiciary,policing because he was too busy enjoying the power or was scared of his boss Sonia Gandhi.PM shd not use such language to cornor votes nor shd opposition leaders use abusive language against opponents.In 2019, Congress led by Rahul kept raising abusive 'Chowkidar chor hai' narrative for six month & were rejected by people badly.Although electiins shd not be fought on religion,caste basis, these two are the main base of all discussions on all medias which is so sickening.We are further dividing our society on religion,caste basis.

Great discussion. SCI is expected to take Suo Motu action against the leader/contestant for such blatantly communal and false statements in the public which has far reaching consequences. Sadly, SCI has been very selective in its actions. ECI should be disbanded and immediate suspension should be effected. ECI is thoroughly disgraceful, morally bankrupt and spineless. Lavasa prefers to sit on the fence and is not coherent with his views. Dave and Sibal are well informed and articulate as always.
After elections a petition should be filed in HC/SC against the leaders making hate speeches including PM against whom election commission has not taken any action.

Embedded software engineer and circuit designer here. It's trivial to design the machine that'll favour a side. I have no access to sources and design document of the machine. Even if I did there is no guarantee that the version of machine I and others will use on field will match with the design document shared. If I have no confidence in the machine I will not participate in elections. I will not participate in democracy.
I have been seeing Mr. Lavasa being called to forums to speak on the EC. After all rhat he has been through, he is not convinced that he has woken up in a different world. The trauma remains and he circumspect. I believe he should be spared this torture.

Ashok Lavasa, despite being an upright commissioner during his tenure in EC, seems to be scared of the powers that be who made his life miserable, who made him quit the EC. While saying this I'm not discounting his stature as an impartial election commissioner, who chose to resign from the EC than succumbing to the unethical demands from you-know-who.

Why no impeachment and sedation charge should be levied to ECI as a constitutional authority.
