- Upendranath Sharma "Ashk", was an Indian novelist, short story writer and playwright. He was born in Jalandhar, Punjab. In 1933 he wrote his second short story collection in Urdu called Aurat Ki Fitrat, the foreword of which was written by Munshi Premchand. We are uploading a book 'Manto Mera Dushman' written by Upendranath Ashk on famous Urdu fiction writer Saadat Hasan Manto in the voice of Tasneef Haidar.

Kahan Raja Bhoj aur kahan Gangu Teli!!! Ashk tried to shine in the glory of perhaps one of the greatest writers of the Indian sub-continent by becoming a self styled 'enemy' of Manto the great! That also when the later was not alive to reply, Ashk shamelessly tried to dub a normal and ordinary professional environment into an animosity scenario which is shameful and cheap. He tried to shine but is degraded further as a human being, sorry to say.
