Death Parade does one thing very well in my opinion and that is depicting the Characters as Human beings with all their sins and virtues. They all act in a way u could see people realisticly act and it makes it so much better.
Death Parade (2015) had a 25 minute prequel episode called Death Billiards (2013) which was funded by Japan's culture ministry ($2.65m) to train young animators on the job in 2012 by Studio Madhouse. That episode gave context to its lore and I think, it won an award; the success of Death Billiards convinced Madhouse to adapt an original anime TV series for it.

I personally gave it a 9/10, I try to be selective with my 10/10 ratings only giving it to the very best, and very best means consistently good 9 or 10/10 episodes and there has to be a "spark" you know? Something especially unique or awe inspiring

Enjoyment plays a big part in anime Wich people often seem to forget, the anime having a thought provoking story and a deep narrative doesn't fully make up for the other aspects of the anime, an example I like is serial experiments lain, it's a really good anime with a crazy complicated story but it's not super entertaining giving how everyone almost doesn't understand on first watch and just leaves you confused not to mention the lackluster art and soundtrack, now compare it to something like samurai champloo a good story, great characters and one of the best produced soundtracks for an anime, in my eyes samurai champloo is the better one in this example since it was simply a more entertaining show to watch, I hope you get what I'm trying to say.
@@Samuel-qc7kg hell prolly say naruto or one of the big animes... which never have consistent 10/10's then hell give something like Leleuch a 7/10 or a lesser known anime like Mitchiko & Hachin a 5/10. thats what everyone does
I personally rated it a 9/10 yeah sure not all episodes are masterpieces, but damn the good one's hit SO hard, honestly don't know what they could've done to make it a 10/10, maybe consistently have those masterpiece episodes?
Nona was definitely the twist the show needed. Don't forget too that there was the a Light Yagami theory in the show, somehow connecting the two universes, since it is made by mad house (they did both death note and death parade). I would love a spin-off series of both shows connecting them.

@@nobones Hmm... not going for what is trending is gonna be an uphill battle, if you don't mind pissing people off and you can play the "controversy" card well just enough to not get hate for it, then maybe you should go after a famous youtuber or old anime, clickbait using something that sounds utterly false/unbelievable then play devil advocate from there.

The backgrounds for my thumbnails are either stills from the show, or a random pattern if I cant find anything (I've used the same topographic png like 5 times lol). You'll get pretty far with any background if you know how to use things like glow, blur, and color matching.

How do animes like this exist and you're saying Death Parade is the strangest one you have seen🗿 Funnily enough, I very recently watched both Death Parade & Serial Experiments Lain (the latter around a week before). Death Parade didn't even come close, even though I watched it after (recency bias is a thing).
I watched like 4 episodes, and dropped it, because it felt too pretentious and fabricated. Like sure, as soon as you introduce any magic it's kind of fabricated, but while a simple tool, that does one simple thing can be uses to tell something deeper in an organic way, specifically engineering magic to beat the theme you chose into the viewers is something I don't like.
I dropped it after the first, as I realised it wouldn't have a main character that changes over time (significantly to feel satisfyed) and I would see the same thing over and over.
