You don't have to use Styrofoam cake circles from the craft store cut paper circles, cereal boxes covered in paper, or vinyl, chipboard sandwich 2 layers with the fishing line. Lots of other options for those who hate foam. Poster board foam core board tons of options

Also an option there is no wrong way to make these. Use plates, lids, whatever you’ve got

How well does the vinyl stay on the foam? I am planning to create one of these for a friends birthday. Her home office is named the swifty suite. I am wondering if I need to do something extra for the vinyl to stay put long term on the foam.

Stays just fine! I wouldn’t use it outside but it’s still holding strong on mine
