Just like Chucky who used to chase soccer balls lol. You could almost think they understand speech by they way they react. All I had to say was bedtime, he would go on his own to his bed and lay down, put head down & shut his eyes. lol. I never had to give him treat's either he just knew. Best dog I had. peace n love
Watson is absolutely adorable - he made me smile throughout the entire video! What a cutie and his eyes look so expressive and understanding. It's clear you and your husband put a lot of time and love into his happiness - I love it!
Karen he is so adorable!!!!! You are doing a fantastic job training him. I could not stop smiling all the way through :-) thanks for sharing such a lovely video
My daughter has a chocolate Multigen Austrailian Labradoodle, and we are crazy about him. His name is Brady and he has a Facebook page at Brady Takes Louisville. These dogs are so smart. Watson is gorgeous.
Nice results! My female labradoodle (Cocoa) behaves just like Watson half of the time. The other half... she acts like a cross between Wile E. Coyote and Bill Murray. It's difficult to describe. Anyways, your hard work shows and Watson is a gentleman and a scholar. Great work!
How on earth is he so clever? Would love if you could show us "how to train" them. Awesome tricks Watson! Well done Karen! You must be so patient. Well done.
+Michele Miller Funny thing is I'm actually crazy impatient except with Watson! I did do a video talking through how I taught him to ring the bell when he wants the bathroom, but with the tricks I've already now taught him them so it would be a talk through again and I'm not sure how helpful that is. I'm currently trying to train him on the bucket game and I'm videoing it but it's really hard. If I tried to do a video of teaching him what my shoes are for example, it was just me saying "where's my shoes" every day when we left for a walk and I'd start by putting them right in front of his face then treating him when he nosed them, then moved them further away after a few days. It's a long process! Will have a think how I could do it in a non boring way! X
I'd still love to see your method for training. I'd love to teach our Winston some tricks. Amazing job you are doing! I'm the girl in Florida that was from Luton.
Great job love the snuggle trick. I just did a video with some tricks with my labradoodle. I hope you enjoy! Just taught my doodle to speak as well. Working on quiet now
Absolutely amazing what a wonderful job you have done such a good clever boy and such a clever mummy you would make a wonderful dog trainer I would hire you !!!!!!! Xx
My labordoodle can only sit, give her paw and give a high five i want to teach her more I don’t know how to and your labordoodle is so cute like omg I want that color mines is like a toffee/caramel brown color
I think we have watched all the same videos!! These are the sane tricks I'd like to teach our pup. After my f1 labradoodle (most loved best dog in the world) suddenly died from cancer, we were looking at australian labradoodles, but in the end we got a multi gen miniature labradoodle. She's nearly 9 weeks old now and weve had her 4 days. She sits on command already. And is more praise driven than treat driven. Can you recommend a really irresistible treat that's great for training? I'm just experimenting with dehydrated nests as we speak. I was wondering whether to clicker train. Which RUclips trainer would you particularly recommend? I've just ordered the toilet bells!
Ooh exciting! Yes, start your separation training literally the day or two after you get him, so you don't end up with a problem - start with 30 seconds, then increase to a minute, just leaving the room etc, then increase to 5 mins. Wait outside the room (hopefully you have some sort of playpen or security gate or crate) and don't go back in until they stop crying otherwise you are rewarding that - the second they are quiet, shout good boy/girl, and go in and give treat. Send me photos! xx
You use whatever motivates the dog so with Watson he isn't interested in toys so treats motivate him. You then fade using as many treats once the training is firmly in place, but dogs should always be rewarded for good behaviour.
I'm not sure how to answer that as there are no specific haircuts other than teddy bear. I have a full course on how to groom a doodle and I also have free videos on here showing how I do his face etc. I just do as I like :0) x
is he being trained as an emotional support dog? he’d be amazing! such a smart pup. he’s lucky to have a mom like you who stimulates his mind and doesn’t let him just sit at home alone. you two are lovely 😊
He's not being trained as an emotional support dog no, although he is kind of that for me in ways I'd never have imagined lol. He's actually not really interested in humans or affectionate with them, so couldn't be a traditional support dog. Aww thanks so much - its my goal in life to get everyone to enrich their dogs life! (And also to groom their dog at home lol). xx
+Jenna Chance He doesn't shed at all but yes, most labradoodles do shed. He doesn't shed because he's an Australian labradoodle with a wavy fleece coat. There will never be a 100% guarantee, but an F1 Labradoodle or any lab & poodle cross is highly likely to malt. A Cockapoo or Cavapoo is less likely to, and the Australian labradoodle is years old with a good pedigree line. X
Australians labradoodles (And this is important, not any labradoodle, but australian labradoodles) with wavy or wool coat are very unlikely to shed, specially when the have more than 4 or 5 generations of pedigree breeding, but with flat or "normal" lab hair the chances are that it IS going to shed. Anyways, the shedding is not extreme, in fact it is less than average, but if you are allergic you have to be aware of that.
My understanding is that with ANY labradoodle the guide is this....the curlier/fleecier the coat, in other words the more 'poodle like' the coat is, the less likely they are to shed, or they will shed very minimally, but there are no guarantees.
Hi, I've recently just lost my origen labradoodle due to cancer. She was nearly 10. And I'm heart broken. I'd like to get an Australian labradoodle maybe next year once I've settled a bit. I'll be looking for a good breeder. Who bred your lovely Watson? Were you happy with the breeders? Is he a mini or standard?? Look forward to hearing from you.
Oh I'm so sorry for your loss, that's heartbreaking :0( I have to be honest though, I'm no longer recommending any breeders as since getting Watson I can now see that there really isn't any reason to get a puppy as there are so many dogs in rescue homes and breeding is mostly about making money. Don't get me wrong, our breeder was fantastic, but still the main point is money. Watson is a miniature but he actually measures medium. There is a Labradoodle rescue forum and also a cockapoo rescue :0) x
I have a chocolate labradoodle and of u lay down then say her name and also say hug she will hug u no joke and and she is the most loving dog ever and the most playful dog I have ever seen
You need to "lure" them into a sit - you hold a treat above their nose and move it backwards until their bum hits the floor. When that happens you say "good boy/girl" and give them the treat. Then when they are doing it reliably, you start saying "Sit" at the point the bum hits the floor. You will learn this when you take them to Puppy class also (highly recommended so they grow up confident and obedient). Here is a video on how to sit ruclips.net/video/aIdKdba_Wmo/видео.html
His favorite treat was choc drops lol
Watson is soooo smart- you did an amazing job raising him. He is also very lovable! Thanks for sharing and making me smile! Sandra
Watson is absolutely adorable - he made me smile throughout the entire video! What a cutie and his eyes look so expressive and understanding. It's clear you and your husband put a lot of time and love into his happiness - I love it!

I don't know who I am more impressed with, Watson for being so smart or you and Kev for teaching him the tricks. You could be a dog trainer!
My daughter has a chocolate Multigen Austrailian Labradoodle, and we are crazy about him. His name is Brady and he has a Facebook page at Brady Takes Louisville. These dogs are so smart. Watson is gorgeous.

Hello, how many pounds would you say he weighed in this video?
How much does he weigh? Which breeder did you get him from?
Hei, here to support my new friend. I also used to live in Norway(asker). Really cute and clever dog! I have four dogs aswell. Keep in touch, Hade!👋
how much does Watson weigh?

soo cute
Is this a first generation labradoodle? Wonderful tricks!
+Julie Leibham No, He's an Australian Labradoodle :0) x
I'm getting a labradoodle on Friday is there any advice you can give me X
Ooh exciting! Okay thanks you so much!!! Xxx
✨He is handsome, smart, sweet and has a wonderful mom and dad. 🐾❤️✨
Beautiful dog! Did you train him yourself? How old was he when you got him and started training him?
Thank you! We got him at 10 weeks old and yes I have trained him myself since then. x
I love it
How do you teach listen without treats
You use whatever motivates the dog so with Watson he isn't interested in toys so treats motivate him. You then fade using as many treats once the training is firmly in place, but dogs should always be rewarded for good behaviour.
Mrs Ginger Beauty wait so i could ask for more tricks less treats then one day just ask for it but give no food ?
What hair cut do you give him?
I'm not sure how to answer that as there are no specific haircuts other than teddy bear. I have a full course on how to groom a doodle and I also have free videos on here showing how I do his face etc. I just do as I like :0) x
He is soo cute and intellegent

I wasn't aware of those guidelines Debs71, very interesting. That said, Watson has almost straight hair and sheds zero hair :0) x
