If anyone has the hypertension issues she describes, firstly the cold plunge will not give you hypertension. If you do have hypertension to begin with the cold plunge can exacerbate it if the temperature is too cold relative to your level of cold adaptation. Some people can experience a transient hypertensive event with no previous hypertension issues for the same reason. Address this by increasing the cold plunge temperature and continuing to lower the temperature over several weeks or months to get your body adapted. Specifically addressing neck pain/headaches when cold plunging with no previous history of hypertension, try fully submerging your head in the cold plunge for a few seconds at the beginning to initiate some local vasoconstriction. Second, this is often an issue that is non-hypertsion related and instead, is directly caused by the design of the Cold plunge, specifically DIY chest freezer cold plunges because the vertical walls of the plunge often leave people to rest their heads on the edge and then use that point of contact to keep their heads above water. This leads to a tremendous muscular strain in the neck muscles that will lead to stiffness, pain, and severe headaches, solution is to sit in the cold plunge without using your neck to support your float. However CHRONIC hypertension is a serious health condition that damages all of your organs and puts you at high risk for heart damage and stroke, so you should always consult with your doctor. I just wanted to post this so that people will know that they can still safely cold plunge even if they initially have hypertensive symptoms but that the solution is to just take it a little slower or adjust your floating position to not involve your head or neck. Everyone's body is a little different and yours will tell you if you are going to fast or not. Listen to it!
I had the same experience getting pain ans headaches when I got into the water. How I got it to go away for me was to get into the water quickly and dunking my head right away has worked great. I hope this may help so you to get cold plunging again. JB Weld water epoxy works great for the seams and Pond Sheild Epoxy is a great alternative for the liner thats not toxic. Thanks for making this video.
Thanks a lot for your comments Tyrell. I'm hoping Anika will get back into the ice bath soon. Might have to wait for winter to pass though. I think next time I clean the bath out I'll take it to work and paint it in the pond liner. It seems to be the best option. Cheers
Been looking forward to your update folks, and also thanks for your honest update as well. We are all definately different. Great channel and thanks for the great honest content.
love your video you provide to the community of folks who just want to be better, healthy... mental...physicals and spiritual. Also love to hear its working out for you as well!! Cheers thank YOU SO MUCH Again!
Have you tried dunking your head in straight away when you get in the bath? There are lots of accounts of this activating your parasympathetic nervous system.
Thanks so much guys, amazing build and detailed demo. I’m about to jump into my build and follow your instructions. Is it possible for a materials list, mostly the pump, filter and ozone generator? Hope I’m not pushing it but a plumbing diagram would be really helpful Thanks Luc
Some of the parts are in the video description. I would recommend using a pond liner instead of the Raptor as it’s starting to flake off in some areas. We are about to redo ours. If you send me a request on Instagram I’ll draw you up a diagram of the plumbing if you like. Thanks Lucio
Just wondering if it's possible to just mount the pumps and filters to one of the lids and keep it closed? Or turn off the electricity when you want to open the doors? It's only a few minutes a day.
We used a type of sikaflex that is meant for pools. It's ok however after being used quite a lot we have decided to reseal it with a pond liner as the Raptor isn't holding up as expected.
Hi guys, just one more question; I’ve ordered the same Ozone Generator as you have and it came without a power plug. The wires are ‘black, white & green’. Assuming yours came the same way, which one did you use as the ‘Active’? I was advised by the seller that ‘white’ was the active wire, but just wanted to double check with you. Thanks heaps in advance, Dan
FWIW, the pump/filter is supposed to run 24/7/365. It makes a significant difference in keeping the water bacteriostatic. Not to mention that I don’t believe that these pumps are meant to cycle between off and on.
ICE BARREL 300..ADD ICE BLOCKS TO IT AND THATS ALL YOU NEED..IF THE WATER AINT COOL ENOUGH WITH THE ICE BLOCKS THEN ADD ICE MAKER MACHINE AND ADD ICE FROM IT

Thanks. I know it’s been a while but we are back into it now after a little break.
Ice bath is what got me here :D
Would totally love to see you give a float tank a crack :D Ice baths and float tanks are my idea of perfection
Thanks for the idea! I would love one
Great stuff guys. Keep up the good work. 😊😊👍👍🙏🙏
Thanks Bill. Always great to see your smiling face in the comments.
Great video. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
fancy night light can be switched to uv light and use it to additionally improve water quality (of course while you're not inside)
Thanks for the info
be awesome if you can show a step by step how to hook up the filtration system/ water etc.
We will on the next one coming soon

Yes Ryan I have. As soon as I get in I put my head under. For some reason it helps me relax.
@@ProShop1 I put my head under for about 10 seconds when I first get in and last thing before I get out. Make me feel warmer, really. Enjoy!
Love this. Did you have to run an inverter to run the pump?
Yep. Pump is 24 volt

That would be awesome, thanks so much 👍
Ah shit I don’t have instagram
@@luciomarinelli2723 maybe Facebook then?
Ok great, Pro Shop on Facebook?
How often did u have to change the water. Maintenance? Thanks
I’ve changed the water at 2 months. The water still appears to be clean so I’m guessing the ozone is doing it’s job.
Just wondering if it's possible to just mount the pumps and filters to one of the lids and keep it closed? Or turn off the electricity when you want to open the doors? It's only a few minutes a day.
That's a pretty good idea. You will just need a pre-priming pump as it would be above the water line.
What type of sealant did you us? And how is it holding up?
We used a type of sikaflex that is meant for pools. It's ok however after being used quite a lot we have decided to reseal it with a pond liner as the Raptor isn't holding up as expected.
What kind of tubing and connections?
need to do an ICP test thats about 30-40 dollars and see everything thats in the water.
Great idea. Thanks for that
What type of filter and where did you get it?
An irrigation filter from the local hardware
Hi, What inline filter did you guys use please
Hi Danny. It is just an inline irrigation filter that you can buy at most hardwares stores
That is a great bild
Cheers Dean
where did you get the venturi injector from? I cant find anywhere local. What size did you get?
I found it on Amazon. Think it was a 1/2 inch
@@ProShop1 did it come with the check valve? I think I found the one but says nothing about the check valve
@@shanesquire8499 the check valve came with the ozone generator
@@ProShop1 ah yes it does. What about the long black device you have before the pump? What is that for?
@@shanesquire8499 That's an inline filter
Do you run the pump/filter 24/7?
I have it on a timer that runs for 15 minutes every 3 hours.

@@trevorrisley5419 thanks for that. I’ll start running it 24/7 and see how it goes.
@@danputelli did you work out the wiring?
10 Celsius is all you need there’s no research that says colder is better.
I find it better mentally if it's colder.
YOU SHOULDNT HAVE PAINTED IT WITH RAPTOR ITS POISONOUS AND. YOURE SOAKING IN IT😂

be careful with that dog chewing wood. My dog had to go to the vet for slivers in his throat and id imagine on the other end.
Ouch! Thanks for the advice.
What has this got to do with cars…. If you want to promote other crap, make another page.
Or you just don't watch, the hints in the video title, you obviuosly missed it.

Heaven forbid somebody be into cars and ice baths at the same time…
Where are the links! Thanks for the update
Thanks. Check the video description
So I was cutting holes for inlet outlet and I’ve pinched the pipe inside any advice??
Damn that’s going to be a bit tricky. Might have to talk to a refrigerator technician and maybe braze it. Going to have to get it re-gassed too.
I don’t think I’ve pierced it just squashed a little should try turning it on?? Brand new chest freezer!!!
@@davecontra3951 I would try turn it on. If you did pierce it the gas would come out so hopefully you’re all good.
Cheers mate seems all good only had it on for 5 mins but fingers crossed.. awesome content really enjoying ya work
