Idk if you remember the flyer but before Covid happened Konkrete and paradox were supposed to have a exhibition battle in Belgium I think, that would’ve been way better then this

Man, that critique, feedback, analysis was on point. And I was thinking the same thing as I was watching. Krump is just hard to compete against in some respect, because the music is sometimes unorthodox, and the dance within itself much the same - making you feel the dancer, and immersed within their performance. Many house dancers give that same kind of experience in many respects; that is, drawing you in emotionally and making you feel them.
But, when it comes to hip hop vs krump, I think that it takes certain hip hop dancers who know how to tap into the emotional performance side in order to compete neck and neck. I believe it takes someone like Laurent, Batalla or Paradox to have any kind of chance at defeating a krump dancer at their own game.

You break stuff down in a way that is approachable to newcomers and yet instructive to people who have been dancing for a while now (not saying i'm any good, but at least i try). I'd even love to send you one of my videos sometime to get your opinion on my dance and what i'm doing badly. But in any case, keep it up... There really is a place for you in the hip hop world. That's just me, but I would have preferred a better Krump track for both of them, cause the one that played is an Energy killer. Sure Konkrete could dance within it, but get a track that's more accessible and has more punch to it and I would have enjoyed the exchange better. Hell, even the Hip Hop track could be changed, same story ...
But what if Ukay chose a Krump track, and Konkrete a Hip Hop track though, now THAT would've been interesting !
That's an OG krump track. Classic. So idk bout that description you gave it but that's why I wanted to expressing the difference in how certain music is produced for specific styles and the difficulties people may have being able to adapt if that's not what they're use to. Konkrete was able to do that for both tracks so I don't think it would've mattered what song was played for Kon
No disrespect, okay its a classic track, but it sounded like a frustrating mix of an ambient track (with pretty bad vocal chops) with some muffled krump percussion timing. Like what I imagine from a Krump track is an over presence of heavy syncopated beats and loud vocals over it, here I was basically yearning for it, but the track was hesitating between being a atmospheric song and a Krump track. Both of these worlds were fighting for attention, and at the end its just a mess. Any other Krump beat with some more Punch to it would have been more suitable for both, and the audience (the energy could have gone way higher)
@@snagc4b427 I feel that. What you could be yearning for tho may be different than what krump tracks actually provide or what you might be accustomed to like I had mentioned. There are various different types of krump tracks but this one here is a standard regular krump track played at various battles and sessions. I doubt it’s a requirement to have to pick a song that’s “more suitable” for both dancers as well. Which is still the reason I spoke on being able to adapt if you walked into a battle knowing your dancing to the other person’s song of choice that probably matches his style more than anything especially being that kon got off to ukay’s song regardless and that was something ukay, for whatever reason, chose. So I don’t see why kon had to pick a “better” krump track so ukay can dance better to it or make it even more interesting

Im suprised man, first off Ukay is out of battle shap, and 2 Konkrete came and went HAM on the the track Ukay choose in the 2nd round, his ownnn track lol. That was an og new style track too.
Maybe just not the right tracks or situation/stress. I found both of Konkretes Song felt more krumpy but maybe that's because he showed how to dance krump to it idk..butt ukay felt a little off I admit that. Although I never saw him before so...can't really say ^^
It looks like first round each dancer danced to their own selected song. Ukay didn't deliver on either but definitely could be a bunch of reasons as to why but that happens to everyone so that's why I focused on other topics

Watch Ukay vs Foued from Ilovethisdance. You'll have to google the vid though and I don't think u can react to it for the same reasons it's no longer on their RUclips channel but it's worth seeing Ukay at in my opinion, his absolute best.
The krump track was absolutely ass for all styles , totally unfair like even top tier poppers would have a hard time with it.
They pulled a similar trick when Kefton and Nelson battled at EBS, really can't respect that shit.
I dunno if you've seen Tight Eyez vs Junior but that's a dope EBS all styles battle and probably one you can react to not to mention it's also a rare occasion when a BBoy displays his ear outside of the obvious beatkill stuff.
