Thank you for the reaction! We're so glad you found it so powerful! 💙
Your songs are powerful and they help me every time I listen to them. Thank y’all for what y’all do. Keep being a voice for us.
Man huge props to Dave for reacting to so many things. If it weren't for him it would have took me a while to find out about this absolute beauty of a track
PLEASE I BEG!!! Do Citizen Soldier "thank you for hating me"
Citizen soldier is the Eminem of mental health rock music.
You truly are 100% the most genuine reactor on a streaming channel. I've been here a while and your reactions are so adaptive and shared with legitimate concern. It's a truly wonderful experience to have you react to the message of this song...Thank you!
Oh yes, you found my favourite band! 🔥 I loved this reaction! If you want react to "Hallelujah I'm not dead" or "Irreplaceable" by Citizen Soldier! Hell yeah this is positive 🙌
I love how their albums are stories! Always ending with something so powerful and uplifting worthing of a happy ending
I just love that Citizen Soldier is so relatable. The lyrics get stuck in your head so fast. Can almost always recall the lyrics when I am having a bad episode. Good reaction.
I enjoye your reactions so much, your input is greatly appreciated. I think you are spot on with your take on the bedroom ceiling.
Dave, great video, you absolutely hit the nail on the head before even starting the reaction 👍🏾
This is my first time seeing you reaction I really enjoyed you breakdown of this song this one hits home for me
I've been in therapy and hospitals a few times. Like you said talking helps. It's helped me a lot. Still live this song
If you did not know, the singer is someone who went through depression themselfs for a long time and then got help and became a therapist. Now they are a Therapist making rock music. How cool is that
Thank you for reacting man. This really hit me too. You have a beautiful voice. I think you would be a great psychologist
Awesome reaction as a veteran these songs are very therapeutic thank you for putting these out here and introducing people to these guys
yasssssss everyone who needs a hug chat "AIR HUG"
Subbed bro. I dig the message you're putting out and I think your analysis of this song was pretty spot on, good work!

You didn't have to call me out like that lol
I gotta say this song hit pretty hard for me cuz I deal with anxiety and some depression and to be honest, I've hade many times where I want to say something but I either don't know what to say or how to say it or even just afraid of their reaction. But thankfully now me and my bf are helping each other through this.
Whoa.. 😢
Dave, you should listen to Citizen Soldiers newest song Still Breathing it is sooo beautiful 😍
Just a thought, the Beach Boys did a song called "In My Room" I think its worth a listen. Also Tim Foust has covered it as well. It i think in its own way it addresses these issues mabey not as powerful or emotional.
These always make me cry because I feel the same way
You need to watch/listen to "Hand Me Down!"
I love citizen soldier music videos so Much it is so amazing and beautiful and so good ❤😊
I overthink stuff a lot (go figure I'd be watching a video relating to mental health, eh?) and remember wanting to understand, as someone who also defaults to problem-solving too much, why having someone just listen without any input was so often the desire -- including for me, once I realized how tiresome it could be having someone else offering up solutions sometimes. I'm no formal researcher, but from what I can understand, I think it's two main things.
1. We are social creatures by nature (which is just to say that while all details may vary, the sense of a bond with someone or something else is important to our mental health). I've seen things about this extended all the way to the idea that "humans will pack bond with anything." Even when we don't necessarily bond, we still tend to anthropomorphize everything, which can help result in everything from people having conversations with their houseplants to cussing out some object you stubbed your toe on, as if it acted with malice by happening to be where it was. So the sense of communicating something to another party helps to ease the pressure of things, and ideally can provide a sense of being cared for enough that someone will listen.
2. It helps to organize and process thoughts. This is the big thing I've really recognized in myself. Thoughts can be a wild whirlwind spinning out of control, in part because they are mostly impressions and fragmentary word clusters to represent ideas. (I'm sure images are common too, but I'm about as close as someone can get to aphantasia without actually having it, so I wouldn't really know.) Trying to express those thoughts forces them into a structure that is much easier to actually process, and it's very common that if someone lets me ramble on enough, I'll be able to start passively making connections, understanding better how big a deal something really is or isn't, etc, and be a lot better equipped to do my own problem-solving (even if maybe not right then).
I've been trying to remember to tell people how they helped me by just listening and thank them for it. I know everything can be a lot more exhausting if it seems like there isn't even any progress being made, and there's already extremely few people who I feel capable of saying much of anything to.
I feel like that all the time in my life 😫😢🥺💔😩❤️🩹🤒🤕
