will using Ortho Bug B-gon (for other pests) negatively affect worm castings?
I have a brush/compost pile that is a windrow of about 8x12x100 feet. I eventually want a berm there. I thought I'd just pile top soil on it someday. I won't get to that area for a few years, so I just pile yard and food waste that doesn't go to worms or chickens. I do not turn it. So it's really a cold compost pile. But, being so large I'm concerned it could possibly start to heat. Could this become a fire Hazzard? And if so, what can I do to prevent that. Turning it would be almost an impossible task. I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.
