This video shows how to upgrade the bearings in a Penn US 113W Fishing Reel. More information on Boca Fishing Reel Bearings can be found here: www.bocabearin...
You can find all (3) of these bearings here www.bocabearings.com/products/bearingapps/fishing-reel-bearings?ProductType=2 part numbers SMR103C-YZZ #5 LD, SR2C-YZZ #5 LD and SR144C-YZZ #5 NB2 were utilized in the video.
Spin time isn't a good measure of casting performance. Think about it: when was the last time you made a cast that required the spool to spin for more than a few seconds? High-end bearings are providing zero benefit vs cheaper bearings when the rig being cast is decelerating more quickly than the spool is. Maybe those bearings you installed will provide a marginal improvement in distance when you're throwing a live anchovy with no sinker and don't bump the spool at the start. An inch maybe? Realistically, putting in those high-end bearings only made your 113W harder to control. I have a Penn Leveline 350. The spool rides on bushings. When using it on a 7' rod to hurl a 3oz weight, those bushings don't negatively impact casting distance; thumb braking is required at all times to keep this reel under control. Penn Squidder 140. The spool of this reel rides on ball bearings. I actually increase bearing friction by lubricating them liberally with Corrosion-X. Using a thicker oil might improve my distance by reducing reliance on my imperfect thumb for braking. Ambassadeur 6500 C4 throwing 1oz. Ambassadeur 5500 C3 throwing 1/2oz. Calcutta CT200B throwing 3/8oz. Decent bearings are lubricated with oils of various thicknesses to keep the spool under control with less input from my thumb. Ambassadeur 2500C throwing 1/4oz and lower. Now we're in the territory where expensive bearings are starting to make a real difference.
Hey the site is very confusing to me and I want to replace my bearings to improve my reels performance. Is there any way I could purchase all 3 bearings I need through you?

Got little over 3 mins spin on reel that's loaded with 60lb big game fishing line. Casting 13ft talon ulua pole with 10oz lead was insane!
@Uluaz_still_here yup! At first had hard time because the spool spun to fast. Had to practice... especially for when i cast at nite.
How are you getting 3 min I just swapped them out and only getting 50sec tops
Seriously at first it spun for 3 mins. Been using reels alot. I just checked the spin and now it's a little more then 2 mins.
could you possibly make a link for me to get all 3 bearings?

Are these the same bearings for the US113n?
Yes! They should be the same!
Honestly it’s a waste of money I would rather put the money to the gas for the trip these reels are mostly used on boats
No they’re not
