I spent 10 years on the island the whole island is haunted you can go sit on the beaches at pretty much anytime at night and hear people walking around where there's no people.

I visited Galveston several years ago. One of the streets they have it marked for how high the waters came up. Frightening! There was an old building there that has a memorial plaque for what used to be an orphanage. It says on the night of the hurricane, the children were all tied together so none would be lost. However, they all drowned together. So extremely sad..

Me and my daughter that was 9 when to Galveston in 2017 when a tropical storm was brewing. We went anyway bc at the time they didn’t think it would make landfall. The first night we were there in our hotel right off the sea wall and a woman (ghost) looked right in my daughters eyes then disappeared. She was terrified. She was dressed in 1900 period dress. I never believed in ghosts until that day. She was looking directly into my daughters eyes. This ghost was conscious. I think she must have been killed in the hurricane and since there was static electricity bc of the tropical storm she could manifest

My mother just came home from there and all her beach photos have orbs swirling about them! They are insane! The orbs follow them and are moving all around them at sunrise on the beach. We are from CT and I was not aware of this tragic story, and now this video gives those photos a complete context! Thanks for posting!

I used to work at UTMB and one day at lunch, I decided to drive out to Cherry Hill to test my new digital cam. I took a photo towards the beach with the salt grass in between. Got back to the office, downloaded it and a ghost appeared in it wearing a long old fashioned dress. I showed my boss, but didn't mention the ghost. I just told him I took a beautiful photo at lunch and he said, "hey, look...there is a woman standing right there." I wish I had that photo still. It got lost when we moved. It looked very similar to the photo shown in this clip. Another co-worker of mine rented a small apt in an old Victorian house and she ended staying only a month because of the activity.

I absolutely believe it's haunted. I visited Galveston earlier this year. Walked around The Strand, many of the beaches, stayed in an old house turned airbnb and went to a very old cemetery just on my own, not a tour. Tho I didn't capture anything strange in my pictures, I never felt alone. I did travel alone for this trip but I was very on edge the whole time and felt like I was being watched. I did research on Galveston before the trip so I knew of the storm and the issue with all the bodies. The orphanage that sat where the Galveston Walmart is today, that's really unsettling. This place is so rich in history and so interesting to me.

My ghost lives there still, I cant go there without seeing my old self walk the streets. Of course when I say ghost, I believe the ghost of my own memories in my head.
My hometown, I still love Galveston.

Take the bodies out on a Barg???!!! Man thats cold hearted!!! I mean I know they needed to do something about the smell and rotting flesh, but that seems like adding insult to injury!!! No wonder it would piss off my spirit too, dying in a Hurricane Flood then dropping your body into the abyss. DAAAAANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bodies floated back and they buried them under 15 foot when they raised the island “so I herd”
