Hi, Megan - thank you for this video. I can't imagine how difficult this entire process must be, but major respect to you for sharing your experience with everyone. You're going to fine 👊 We're with you 🙏 - Jeremy
Megan, thank you for sharing this. Watching you say "i'm going to get brain surgery" with a smile tells me all I need to know about you. You are a Mom and you will get through this. Please keep us updated if you can. 💪
@Nerdrotic Thank you so much for stopping by! Megan is overwhelmed but extremely grateful for all the love! And this really helped her get over her anxiety this weekend seeing all the love from the fandom menace.
Hi Meg, positive thoughts and prayers sent in your behalf. Hard to say but chin up, you are going to be fine. Your bravery just posting this is beyond most. I'm sure many look forward to your healthy and timely recovery getting back to doing what you love as well as making more videos for us to watch.
Hi Megs! You are a brave soul sister! Facing this will be a challenge, but you are made of tougher stuff! I wish you healing, a speedy recovery, and may your physical therapist be kind on those days you need it the most. Praying for you & your family!
Hello. I don't know who you are, but this appeared on my RUclips feed and it caught my eye. I as well have Chiari 1 malformation and have struggled with it my whole life and still am. I understand your pain. Very happy you have doctors that you like and trust to go on this journey with you. Just came here to let you know as someone who understands how you feel that my thoughts and prayers will be with you and that everything in your surgery will go as smoothly as possible. Stay strong my fellow warrior❤️
I feel for you. I know your struggle. Thinking back I went years struggling with symptoms but wasn't able to connect the dots until I was diagnosed. May the force be with you my friend. 💕
Back in 2016, my then 14 yr old son was diagnosed with a Chiari malformation, which led to him developing scoliosis. The hope was that once they performed the surgery to correct the Chiari malformation and slightly puncture the spinal cord to remove excess fluid, that his curvature would self correct. It didn't, so a year later he then went into surgery again, this time to insert steel rods into his spine to correct his curvature. He missed six weeks of school and lost credits needed to graduate high school on time. Now, closing in on his 17th birthday, he's better than ever. To be honest, I could care less about the school credit. Just thankful to have a happy, healthy kid again. You'll get through this! Better days lie ahead.
Thank you for for sharing your story with me!! If your 14 year old son can come out of TWO surgeries then I should do okay! 😉 I just try to tell myself that sometimes mysterious things happen for mysterious reasons.. 💕
@@megs7778 You bet! Many thanks to Jeremy at Geeks and Gamers. If it wasn't for him I'd never have heard about what your dealing with. To be honest I'd never heard of a Chiari malformation until what happened with my son. In fact I was really frustrated by it early on. I remember sitting there with my face in my hands and feeling defeated. I thought, why does this thing that's super rare have to be an issue for us? Why can't this thing bother someone else? Anyhow, you're the only other person I've seen with the same issue as we had and I just wanted to let you know you're not alone! Hang in there. I'm pulling for you!
Hi Meg, I am new around here but I couldn’t let pass the opportunity to tell you that it needs a lot of strength and courage to go through this delicate situation...in times like this, I always like to remember that “Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage”...so, you sure look like somebody surrounded by love; and, therefore, by strength and courage; don’t forget that 😉. Be confident that, no matter what and how it happens, you always have the power to stay in the bright side of life. All te best! 🙏🏼
SUBBED. Mad respect for your strength. We got your back lady! Let us know as soon as you feel better, but take your time. We will all be here as soon as you get back waiting for you.

Wow, that has to be a little scary, but I’m sure you’ll be fine. You have plenty of support, and I know everyone wishes you well. Good luck on the surgery, hope for a speedy recovery.
Hi Megan, I sincerely hope all goes well for you. A few years ago, incessant back pain led to me receiving an MRI to investigate the cause. Though the eventual respective issue and solution were repetitive strain injury (I was training obsessively at the time, injuring myself) and a cortisone injection directly into the affected tissue, I was originally diagnosed with syringomyelia based on the results of my scan. Over the course of some months, during which time my pain sharpened to the point of madness, I educated myself compulsively on syringomyelia, Chiari malformations, posterior fossa decompression surgery, spinal cord shunts, success stories from post-op patients, and many other things that I'm sure you know about too. I was blessed to find out eventually that I don't have Chiari malformation and that my spinal syrinx is asymptomatic, but what I'll never forget is the ineffable terror that consumed me in the beginning when I had lost all hope of leading a normal life free of that pain and worry. I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy, and you'll be in my thoughts as I hope for your complete recovery after a successful operation. Best wishes from Ireland, now and in the future, Rob.
Thank you for your detailed and very personal comment! It can definitely get very drooling if you let it get to you, but I try to just take one day at a time. So many others around me have had lives cut short, I'm just very thankful to be here
Lovely lady, don't worry about making video, you tend to yourself and begin the road to healing. We are all here for you for strength and love every moment. To ask the heavens above, to bring you home safe and sound. Sounds like even working in the medical field you get shafted by idiots. So Much love and strength to you Megs.
Thankfully, working in the field has allowed me to always have my "idiot scanner" on high alert, especially when it comes to the medical community sadly. Thank you so much for your kind words, appreciation, and love! It means so much!!

It is sad, when anyone tries to deceive one another and when something wrong happens it always hurts the innocent.
