There's this misconception out there that oily skin can't have oils. I'm oily, but I love this product! I use it (a pea size) as my last step, as an occlusive to stop water loss, before my spf. My morning skincare consists of Vit C serum, hyaluronic acid serum, ceramide based moisturiser with peptides, occlusive cream and spf ( no eye cream as I'm lucky enough to tolerate all my skincare in the eye area). The only issue that I find would be the inclusion of fragrance if you can't tolerate it, other than that, it's got some solid, well proven ingredients that will act for their purpose. Embryolisse is not the thickest moisturiser out there as he mentions, it's definitely a bit on the oilier side ( as expected), but definitely not thick! I suppose it depends on how much and how you use it. I normally wait 20 mins for my spf to set in before makeup anyway, so this takes care of all. I've got to know my skin over the years and found out what works best for me through trial and error. I use a lot of products for most people, but it suits me just fine and despite being a busy, career person, I have all the time in the world for my skincare! I don't get any oilier than what I would normally get if I didn't use the embryolisse, nor do i get clogged pores - but then again, I do have a very good pm skincare routine and regular exfoliations. Also, the brand is not vegan, but definitely cruelty free.

I am one of those people who have been using and raving about this for years. I have recommended it to countless of people and most of them have loved it. It honestly works on both dry and oily skin, it is balmy and still kind of lightweight. Sounds like your friend used way too much product if it didn't sink in :) About the fragrance, it does exist as fragrance-free but I feel like that version smells almost like playdough and I never had issues with the original anyway. I have heard many influencers complain about the fragrance, but it is the last ingredient on the INCI list and it does not smell like anything else but a clean pharmacy cream. After modelling jobs when people have been touching my face for an entire day and covered it in makeup, this is heaven to put on after a thorough cleanse. Honestly I have never found another cream like it. For me it is a 10 of 10 :)

I'm a new user and a huge fan of this product. It is a super hydrating moisturizer - I don't have super dry skin.. My skin has never felt so soft and looked so hydrated. I was complimented on my skin yesterday, I'm over 50. I have made my own oil concoctions for about 20 years. I don't like that it is perfumed (it's not too strong) or that it has mineral oil.... but the results are fantastic. I will continue to use it, have some breaks and still use my own mix of organic oils.

Disagree that most people don't need this level of hydration. The more the better for all skins regardless of age or skin type. Hydration and moisture make up a legitimate anti ageing regime. I know my skin is as good as it is now because I have slathered it in moisturisers all my life.

I don't agree with this. I have been using this product for over 12 months and love it. I have an Oily/normal combination skin and suffer from Rosacea. My skin can be sensitive and will develop rashes if a product is not compatible with my skin. I love everything about this cream, it doesn't break me out, it doesn't cause sensitivity or rashes, hydrates but doesn't make my kin oilier than it already is. I also adore the fragrance, for me it is such a luxury to have fragrance as I normally use products for Rosacea or sensitive skin that don't have it. This cream ticks all the boxes for me, I even use it under makeup as a primer and I live in Australia where summer can melt metal let alone flesh and it still works for me. It's just always going to be the way - you can't please everyone 100% of the time and everyone's skin is different, so what works for my somewhat oily skin and what works for someone else is going to be completely different.

I have really dry skin, and I live in a very dry climate. My skin loves this! It’s one of the few moisturizers that can get me through our cold, dry winters! I too appreciate its short ingredient list...I don’t have sensitive skin per se, but there are some ingredients that make my skin angry...apparently this doesn’t contain any of them. I don’t like lotions that are very silicone-heavy because they pill up on me, especially if I put on foundation. No pilling here! (Maybe that’s why the makeup artists like it?) I normally avoid/dislike fragrance in my skincare, but I find the rose scent of this very pleasant while I am applying it, but doesn’t linger. For me, it’s a win. But I could see how it could be way too emollient for someone with oil/acne issues.

None of the hype products ever work for me. This one is spectacular at nourishing the skin and priming. I also ran out of hand cream this spring when my hands were RAW from washing and this I grabbed this and put it on my scaly-est bits and where I looked chemically burned and it immediately SOOTHED and calmed the skin and most significantly, my skin began to HEAL. Without getting into every last horrifying detail of what was happening with even the best hand cream I had (my skin was still coming off in shards and scales, and many hand creams BURNED my poor hands..), EVERYTHING stopped with this cream. It's all I will use now for moisturizer on my hands and my face. Other uses: very gentle makeup remover. Especially when my mascara runs a bit and is on my under-eye area, a dab of this calms me and removes the mascara in the middle of the day.
The fragrance is quite minimal - surprised by its mention. I've used many luxe and economy products and a great deal of them have 3× the fragrance of this while still not being overpowering.
An incredible healing moisturizer. I cannot find anything as good.

I’ve been using this product, Embryolise LAITTE (White with blue tube) every day, whether it’s alone or under makeup. Been using for over a year. I smooth it on while getting dressed. The more parched my face is, the more product it will soak in. After product has soaked into my skin, (5 to 10 min), my skin is actually hydrated. My skin has always been extremely dry, so this product is my favorite discovery on RUclips. 2. I like the body lotion as well. I do get migraines from heavily scented products, but this is not a scent that bothers me.
    3. At night, after cleansing my face, I use the white & red tube of the (most rich) “Embryolisse EMBRYODERME”. This one does have a sticky texture, which I love because it actually feels rich & emollient. My parched face needs as much of the emollient feel as I can keep on it.

I have a pretty sensitive skin being red haired with green eyes, almost Irish looking. And I often use Embryolisse lait crème concentré. I really appreciate it but applied as a mask before the day cream with a SPF or before going to bed. After a few days the skin looks replenished, full of moisture and looks great. My colleagues notice it. And I don't consider it to be occlusive. This is how I would call the regular Nivéa crème in the blue jar or Weleda's Skin Food, even the light one.

Hi, I have watched your review on this product. It's very good that you have more cons than pro's. But however, there are two other issues to talk about what's in this product. It seems very good to use it on your skin, but...a big but.... There are 2 to 3 very wrong ingredients in it. Sodium Hydroxide: a very chemical substance that is dangerous. It's very dangerous also when you put this on your skin. Also it's product has microplastic in it. They don't let people know on the ingredientslist on the package. It's called Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer. That's microplastics! And last but not least, in 1 variant of this product there's triethanolamine it it. That's listed to be carcinogenic. So, with this information I would not recommend this product, not if you want to use good and safe products, not just for you, but also for the whole environment. The microplastics in it, will come into the water and just makes the plastic soup worse! It stays there. I won't tell people what they should do or not, but I just want the tell you the whole picture. It's up to people themselves if they still want to use it. Anyway I hope I can make some people change their minds about this product.

The brightening claim might be a bit of gimmick: they added vitamin c to it and that's that. Curious to know if it smells of orange, if they are concerned about cruelty free, and if it's as heavy as the first one. 10 minutes to sink in for make up application is a bit overkill, espesh if you have 2 serums to apply before, a spf after, a primer, some foundation and all that to leave the door early to be at the gym for 7am.
