I installed the system on an ANDROID BOX it works very well everything works fine BUT!!!! I can't get a camera to work Android recognizes the camera, but when I try to check the "generic webcam" box, the message REQUESTING PERMISSION TO DEVICE appears ???? any suggestions to solve the problem???
Sumit, this is a REALLY well put together video and process. I'm impressed you managed to so concisely squeeze so much information into 7 minutes. Thank you kindly!
Everything is just like your video - BUT when I type in and go to the URL shown on the phone - my laptop is asking for a username and password for Octoprint - I'm stuck at this point...... Thanks for your feedback...
@@sumitbasra sorry for confusion....I have octo4a on an android phone on connected to my 3d printer......when I try going to its url 192.168.1.4:5000, via windows laptop on same wifi network, I'm asked for an ID and password of some sort ?????
Really aggravating to get to function,, camera works fine, connection to printer is occasional, been working on it for a few days got it to connect 1 time....
NEED HELP, i somehow forgot the username and password after using the wizard to setup octorpint. HOW THE HELL DO I DO WIZARD AGAIN ? I also tryed to SSH to the IP adress of the octo4a phone with putty but is sayed: connection refused. Help me please
@@sumitbasra It's a USB cable that can communicate from printer to laptop fine, plug into the hub, nothing, no detection, no options, nothing. p.s. So very sorry I was very rude earlier, extremely frustrating!
@Sumit Basra, did you try any Android devices that could not connect to any of your printers? If so, which device models? I've been seeing Octo4A threads littered with users having problems, but few solutions. Just curious how many setups you tried before finding one that works?

Sumit, great video! Been looking at doing this too! Ebay has many store demo phones with No IMEI, meaning they cant link to a cell network, for really cheap. If Octoprint only uses wifi, would one of these phones work?
DON"T USE OCTO4A!!!!! It is not reliable and the developer isn't fixing the issues. It's a great idea, and it might work long enough to be a cool novelty (or long enough to make a YT video...), but it will always end with an app that crashes and becomes unusable. I sank way too much money into android phones because of this horrid app. Need a raspberry pi alternative for octoprint? Tough- I've tried everything and it always ends badly. The only way is if you're already a Linux guru that can customize an image perfectly to your hardware- in which case you're not watching this video...

My phone's camera is recognized in timelapse, but it doesn't in octolapse.
How can I fix it, I have not found any solution on the internet or youtube
I was hoping to use a Samsung S5, but finding an adaptor to solve charging issue has been a bummer.

does octoprint on your computer connect to the printer and see the temps and stuff?

Is there a way to use the wide angle camera instead of the standard rear camera? Can't seem to change it.
that would be awesome but I haven't been able to find it yet :(
How come that you don’t have any errors in the installation? I have a lot of errors installing the dependencies
This is such crap! I have everything needed yet I can't connect with two replacement hubs from Amazon! What the HELL and I doing wrong????

it’s the Prusa Mini! the octo UI was already on the printer, it might just be preinstalled?
