  • Finding the rarest McDonald's collectibles can be a real challenge... unless you make friends with some of the biggest collectors in the world! Check out these pitstops from my recent buying trip - a basement stacked to the ceiling with Happy Meal toys, an antique booth with an unbelievable selection and a couple of garages that you have to see to believe!

Still dumbfounded with the emergence of Grimmace's Irish uncle. Also 5 years! Can't wait to see what you've got lined up for the next 5.

Haha. Uncle O'Grimacey has been around, but I just needed to remind everyone. And, yeah, five years is CRAZY. Time moved very fast.

Oh hot damn! This is awesome. What a great video to watch on a Friday at lunch.
On topic...just recently moved to FL from up north. I LOVE how a lot of thr McDonald's down here have the old style buildings with the arches built into it on either side. We didn't have a single one of those in PA. Is this something you have seen in other states? It can't just be Florida

You know, I don't visit too many McDonald's - I'm not even that into eating there. Haha. It's all about the collecting side for me. Cool to her that you've got the better building designs down there, though.

Believe it or not, they have an airport - JLN. You could definitely make it worth a flight, TBH. Haha.

Man I wish I was closer to Joplin. As a 90s kid, a lot of those Happy Meal Toys and even some of those displays brought back memories like crazy.

Yeah, it was a real turning point for me as a collector when I found that booth three years ago - really made me realize that large purchase for many items at one time was far superior to growing a collection piece by piece.

My favorite things in the McDonald's collection are the Mac Tonight stuff, and the McDonaldland stuff. (I especially love Grimace, because he's my favorite McDonaldland character.)
Mac Tonight is my favorite McDonald's mascot, too.

my favorite are the original McDonald characters of the 70s, 80s and 90s... + Mario Bros 3, Garfield, Looney Toons .... I also have the 1993 Jurassic Park full set of glasses/cups.

Seeing all of this is just fascinating. Made me remember in 2002 when the "Mighty Kids Meal" was recently introduced and they had packs for a Bionicle Card Game as the toy. I ate a lot of McD's that month because of how much I loved both Bionicle and CCGs.

My father in law was Ronald McDonald for the Missouri /Illinois area for years! We have his old road trip jacket with Ronald on the back of the jacket.

The mid 80's to the mid 90's, McD was on point.
Didn't they release those Changeables again or have slightly different version? I remember having the fry toy but it's couldn't have been from '87 or whatever because I would've been two!

There was an original set of five in several markets, with a sixth added in some markets (a milkshake) in 1987. New Food Changeables were eight more from 1989 - in my opinion, that's the most iconic set and the sealed version you see me buy in this video. A set of 10 McDino Changeables were dinosaurs, not robots and released in 1991, so that's almost certainly what you're most familiar with. If you look close over my left shoulder (camera right), you'll see the 1989 New Food Changeables counter display, by the way.
