These last few videos, i believe, have been great instructional videos. It has shown how to work out to understand where the fish are going and feeding because of the weather conditions and how to fish what the weather is giving you. Yes, watching you catch the fish is great, but learning from your experience is really the best of the videos. You have a way of explaining what is going on and why, and you make it easy to understand. Thanks so much. Be blessed. My brother.
@@JoeHazlet thank you. I really do appreciate that. That's actually the best part of these videos I like the most. I have no problem sharing everything and hope it helps some people.
and like they say, that's why that call it "Fishing Knot Catching" once again. Another great video that shows the actual fishing emotions while we are out there.
@@FishingKnotCatching thank you. I try to keep it as real as possible.
Micka You’re helping us through tough times too with great videos. Thank you for your dedication and sharing your craft with us. WE,re the lucky ones
@@johnhenderson7094 man that means alot. I really do appreciate that. Thank you
Thanks for taking us along!
@@goodcitizen64 thank you for watching.
I'm out here now on the Mississippi and kickin back with no bites all day and now after watching this video I switched baits up to filets off shad and boom here we go. And went shallow as well. 💪💪💪💪
@@concrete2catfishin that is so awesome. It's amazing how different cuts of baits can change everything.
@mickaburkhart14 I know it. Thanks for the tip. Changed my day for sure
❤
Everyone Needs Days Like That Every Once In a While! Good Job! Fun to Watch! Thanks
@@brucewjourney1175 thank you
Hey, always enjoy going fishing with you. Got another quick question for anyone. In cold weather and freezing temperatures, how do you protect your pumps and lower unit from freezing after trailering and overnight?
@@jumpnjack8686 thank you. For the motor always lower it when you get it parked at get house. The pumps you kinda take a chance on those really. But most times they will drain to a point it doesn't become a problem.
Thanks Micka! I just lost my live well pump. Cracked due to freezing water in pump. Oh well, I rather fish than sit at home.
Well Done Micka. Hopefully you are fishing this excellent weather, near record warm heading out in 10 minutes. Hopefully I can get into a wad of them like you did.
@@markybob_bassplaya1462 thank you. Yeah actually getting ready to had to Florida to do some fishing. But good luck to you today.
Great video Micka. How about you freeze a bunch of them eaters and mail them to me 😂. My 92 year old mom and me would be in fish heaven.
@@dalewood5964 😆 well I'm not saying I wouldn't do it.
I have found that the rod that gets a fish after that it has the slime on it and it’s like it gets bite again and again
@@lucasgibson7701 yeah that's a possibility.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
That looked like a good day of fishing to me!!!
@@Mark-b8h4c thank you. Yeah it was a really good day.
They were definitely ricked up like cord wood, another great video Micka 👍👍thank you!!!
@@randylippert6416 😆 thank you
Like we say, ain't no fences down there, they may be anywhere! Good day, thanks.
@@earljenkins1302 thank you
Watching this reminds me to be patient and keep learning. This would be a topical day for me size wise but putting bigger fish in the boat is a struggle. It all equates to time on the water.
@@russellfaith8959 absolutely
“Un-reel” 😂 like one of my fishin’ trips !
@@flint636 😆 🤣
Good job. I think you're right about the shad kill. I went Monday and there was dead shad washed up by the bank at the boat ramp.
@@charlesjones2461 yeah that cold snap does it every time.
Anything is better than nothing ❤
When my trolling motor has acted up like that, I disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes and let the trolling motor reboot. It happens every couple months. I like the videos where you are not dragging. Good job. We like watching the catching of smaller fish 20 lbs and down instead of the larger ones. Its the same as when I used to be chasing women, never cared for the big heavy ones.
@@larryled6839 😆 🤣 thank you. I'll try thst with the trolling motor.
Had to tune in late today. Doctor apt. Still got to watch. Really enjoy your videos.
@@MikeRuch-i1y thank you. Hope everything is good.
@@mickaburkhart14 Doing good so far. Doctor said cancer is stable and that is good news. Thanks again for everything you do.
Micka just think of how any freezers you could have filled on this trip. Always need a freezer filling session every now and then tight lines and blessed days have a good one mic

I haven't watched this yet and don't have time right now but I had to say this because of the caption " we always say that" 🤣 it's always the last spot that you get on them 😜
@@jimmycatfishhunter 😆 yeah your right about that.
Hello 👋 Micka, I hope you keep doing what you’re doing. This is the way real fishing is, I appreciate the dickens out of you keeping your content real and not chopped up fish after fish. Blessings to you and your family and have a wonderful day 👍💪🙌🙏🌈✌️🐽🐷🐖

One thing is for sure........Any day spent on the water struggling through a bad or slow bite is better than a day spent on the couch wondering if they're biting!!!
@@1776AllDayLong that's very true.
Nice micka good video buddy
@@jamesbailey..catfishin thank you
@mickaburkhart14 welcome
I appreciate seeing the challenging days and how you handle them. It's a good reminder that even the best struggle when the conditions are tough, and doesn't make me feel as bad when I'm not having any luck. One question - what conditions would lead you to trying fillets instead of chunks?
@@ethanchandler7097 thank you for that. When the bite was as tough as it was I really just run through different cuts to see what sticks. But fillets always seems to produce on tough days. Maybe the natural looking presentation or the smaller profile
Early ice is slowly melting here in Missouri...I am DYING to get out on the water!
@@FishingKC15 i hope you can get out there soon

I bet come March he's gonna catch a monster flathead!!!

Late March and April here in E.Tn is when our big Flatheads and blues come alive .And you can also hook into some monster striped bass on cut bait to.I can't wait.
I been trying to get him and Spenser to hit Watts bar and the Tennessee river, some Nice ones out of both
We have had a big shad kill here and 8 pounders are weighing 12 lol. Awesome video
@@trinityoutdoors thank you. Yeah had the same thing happen here also.
It was like this on Barkley the other day. First hour was nothing, then all heck broke lose. Doubled up twice, then had a triple.
@@billydelong7372 that makes for a fun day.
I wish I had your bad days 😅
@@IEchuckie 😆 🤣
I think BJ outdoors fishes off the bank
those cats follow school of shad to feed on the wounded shad from game fish just busting shad
the barge captain probly had wind blow them empty barge's around!
@@pumagaming8936 yeah it had to be something for sure.
Got a couple questions for ya. Is it best to catch shad early in the morning? And last 2 days I spent on TN river the wind was CRAZY! I never see much wind on your videos. Is that because your on the lake before the wind?
Now that I've watched this video all the way thru i see you do deal with wind. It's tuff!
@@steveengland7268 on the shad it just depends. I've been to places were at night is the best time. But out here anytime is a good time right now. Oh I deal with the wind quite a bit. Sometimes it doesn't pick up till that 10 o'clock or noon hour.
