At least Jirad finished the game. Critic couldn't even be that persistent. Heck, LordKat (Jason Pullara) could beat this game, and regardless of how he felt about it. He'd still get this game finished.

@@jimmynutpie839 To be honest, while I wasn't the biggest fan of his review of "The Wall", at least that review was visually entertaining, while his "Bart's Nightmare" video was just tedious and boring.
To quote AVGN on this game: "Eat my shorts, eat em' good, right after I take a diarrhea dump."
11:30 "Jumping over mailboxes and ceramic demonic heads." Those heads are actually from the statue of Jebediah Springfield, the one in the very center of town. In Season 1 Bart cuts the head off the statue and it practically haunts him the rest of the episode as the entire town is pissed at him for it. It's probably the only thing in the dream overworld that makes sense.

I actually honeymooned in Universal back in February went to the Springfield attraction. After laughing myself stupid at the name "Bort", I later won a bouncy ball in an arcade at the park and named it Bort. Bort the ball, safe in my nightstand.

I love you new intro and I got excited about you reviewing this game. ^_^ Yay! you got a Nintendo suit jacket (...i think... it looked liked the one Reggie had on one time). I never could complete the game, lol.
You know, Jirard, as someone who is also nearly 30 and who also spent a lot of time in tears over video games at Blockbuster as a child, I think the five-day rental period for games back in the 90's contributed immensely to my inveterate 100%-er tendencies today. I distinctly remember feeling like that 5-day rental was a challenge to see as much of a game as I possibly could. The sense of accomplishment I got from finishing a game before the dreaded day that the cartridge (and my save file) had to go back to Blockbuster when I was eight years old is the very same one I feel today when that last Achievement pops or a true 100% becomes a reality. I, too, am nearly 30, but I'm basically still eight years old. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Mr. Completionman!

Hey man, 1st time I've seen one of your vids and I watched because this game tormented me as a kid as well. I played it a lot because it seemed so simple and certain levels were fun but in the end there was just no payoff to seeing it through to the end. Anyways, great vid. I appreciated all the extra info and research you added into it.

I have this game too and boy is Jirard NOT joking. It is very unforgiving and seriously screw that Indiana Bart section! The best I've ever done in this game was 6 out of 8 pages. Guess where the last two were at...

This game caused me so much gaming trauma. I too rented this game weekend after weekend. The rental store eventually sold it to me. I never beat it. I still own it and look at the cartridge from time to time. It’s been this unresolved gamer trauma all this time. I legit hear Barts various “hey man’s” and the gd atoms “hi there” in my head to this day

+Joston The keyblade master I played the game for about 2 or 3 days and got the Golden Magikarp. It was probably the 4th Magikarp I fished up.
I know this is late but when you asked "Did they expect kids to appreciate a character from the first season? the answer is yes, mainly because the game came out at the end of the third season. Think about that for a sec there buddy.

Was watching like.. Okay.. I can dig it. Beard Mode in the intro and I could click subscribe fast enough.
The game on Snes is amazingly fun to play with friends as a sadistic experience, lol. In that sense I think the game is really good and clearly isn't meant to be taken seriously. It's a Simpsons game from the early 90's.
Holy fuck. I wasn't alone. I OWNED this game. And i never beat it. I couldn't beat the second Itchy & Scratchy level. I also couldn't beat the second Indiana Bart level. BTW it's actually called 'Temple of Maggie". There's a "Did Ya know Gaming" bit for ya!
This game broke me as a child. I hated some of the stages and enemies, yet I always kept coming back for that weirdly intriguing atmosphere. The overworld map was the worst, it felt like you were stuck in limbo.
For the record i love this game. I had it when I was a kid and I recently was able to finally get an A+ ranking on it after all these years.
Alright Jirard. You brought up the magic School bus kids being stuck in salmon eggs. But what you FORGOT to bring up is the fact a male salmon swims on by and fucking nuts on them. It's gross and I can't believe they got away with it

Pokemon is pretty big, but Star Wars is out of control. When The Force Awakens came out they sold Star Wars branded oranges. Just plain old oranges in a bag with a picture of BB-8 on the label. I read that Disney has already made back the $4 billion they purchased the franchise for off of just the merchandise alone.
Bart's nightmare isn't a terrible game at all. Now make no mistake, it totally was not a good game ether.
Once you were able to figure out how to play the game. Mini games and the streets world. It would become much easier to play and mildly enjoy.
I give the game a 5.5 to 6 out of 10. Not a bad game. But it wasn't easy at all for first timers, and the ending did kinda suck. At least if you did get an A- or better. You would cause Lisa simpson to be surprised.

I had a similar experience with Vexx on PS2. This was one of those games that I could not finish every time I rent this game from Blockbuster, and I am still trying to hunt it down to this day.

Kenpokid4 Either way the game deserves its own video and besides its pretty obvious what you have to do to complete the game ,finish the Persona Compendium Rank 10 on all Social links, get all of the key items , and get the true ending simple no.
Orrrrrr he can play the series in proper order and complete the Persona 1, 2, and 2.5 first before picking up the middle game in the series. The origins deserve as much respect and recognition as the 3D ones, if not more.
David Rusk the originals were pretty awful. I doubt they would make a good impression.
