  • Jacques Derrida was one of the most well known twentieth century philosophers. He was also one of the most prolific. Distancing himself from the various philosophical movements and traditions that preceded him on the French intellectual scene (phenomenology, existentialism, and structuralism), he developed a strategy called "deconstruction" in the mid 1960s. Although not purely negative, deconstruction is primarily concerned with something tantamount to a critique of the Western philosophical tradition. Deconstruction is generally presented via an analysis of specific texts. It seeks to expose, and then to subvert, the various binary oppositions that undergird our dominant ways of thinking-presence/absence, speech/writing, and so forth. in gnana yoga we speak ov god and aproch him intelect, reading scripture and practicing tapasya (auster postires and not speaking for periods and fasting). it is the path ov knowlage. in bakti (the yoga ov devotion) we practice singing hyms in public (sankerton) and bowing before him requeting that we may be his devote. one path his by way ov the mind were as bakti is the path ov the heart. lord krsna is the lord ov bakti. most mercyfull buitifull lord krsna is sometimes refered to as the hindu christ and in and bagavad gita god say give up all all relegions and just surender to me. practicing bakti is all about nutring a personal relationship with god through krsnas revalation and mercifull grace. hare bolo🌹🌹🌹

I am disappointed in Derrida understanding of God , Hegel and Kierkegaard. He is speaking as if deconstruction is deconstructing from misunderstanding do to give one affirmation rather than proper understanding relevant to the text !

Do we even know the origin of 'god'? It is a word without known etymology. The word 'god' crosses the borders of various religion. Plato spoke of gods, the Celtics spoke of gods, we share and borrow the "name" that is not, of course a name.

traditionally lord siva speaks on gnana and lord krsna speaks on bakti. they are my best friends. they are as real to me as you or me. real as any dream youl see. but take my word for the knife works but it is much safer ta aproach him with a flower instead. lol 🐇🐐🦄🍦🍦🍦🌹🌹🐇

He copped out on the subject of Christian grace. He was very uncomfortable speaking about it because he knew he could not tell the truth on this subject in that public forum.

He didn't want to say anything at all, he only wanted to clarify to the nth degree his own banality of dancing around the point.

@@cliffpinchon2832 he was Jewish and not comfortable with Christian concepts. This would have been quite foriegn to him. It would have been interesting to hear him comment on how and why speaking on Christian concepts was not something he would do. But he did comment somewhat on Jewish religious concepts.

@@allenmoses110 In your comment five years ago you said he was reluctant to tell the truth... what truth did you have in mind? (Don't worry I'm not an officer of the Thought Police, just curious.)
