  • A review of the Ninja Double Stack XL 9.5L Air Fryer.
We also pit it against the much cheaper Instant vortex to see how it stacks up.

The uneven cooking is an automatic disqualifier. That is surprisingly disappointing from an otherwise quality brand. Thanks for the review!

thanks for the great and honest review! it ended up sounding like a vortex ad which I will not actively hunt a good deal for! thank you we couldnt decide which airfryer to get up until this video.

Keep in mind what i said about having to swap the vortex multiple times due to the lamp blowing. They say this is no longer an issue. My latest one has been ok for a few months. I will update if it blows again. If you’re not bothered about a viewing window then there’s so many options which cook evenly unlike the stacked ninja. Which is a shame because I really thought this would be something I’d keep.

that's too bad I really love the design of it I have very limited counter space. The uneven heating is a major no go for me. Thanks for the helpful review.

Thanks for this super helpful review! Was contemplating buying this as my first air fryer, primarily as I don't have much counter space. Seeing the uneven cooking has ruled this out as an option, if it doesn't even do it's main job well (especially at £270). Hopefully the instant version will improve, although I think the form factor/design is always going to output the same uneven result.

Yes. Unless they figure out a way to out the heating element on top with the fan also on top. But then they would need to reduce the size of the baskets or make it taller, which means it may not fit under units. These are big baskets though so they can create space in future designs. Did not expect this from Ninja at all.

Uneven cooking is no go ! Does the top or bottom can do pressure cooking at the same time

@@bzbz70 if you mean synchronised cooking between the two trays. Yes it has that feature. Also has synchronised finish so if two things take different amounts of time it will start them when needed so they finish at the same time. Then again almost all air fryers have this.

That is the link for it, it's currently 35% off but to be honest ive seen the price as low as £75 during Black Friday if you're willing to wait. Have a great weekend.
