      Very beautiful! Just a couple of questions. Can you attach a crystal somehow in the center instead of a spiral? Also, can you gently hammer the flower to make it stronger?

    • @samanthalatimer1
      @samanthalatimer1  3 месяца назад

      @@suzystripe6492 you can definitely attach a crystal. Pop it on the end of the wire, but make that wire a little longer, and then spiral the wire around the bead and pop it into place at the centre. I’d think you could gently hammer the petals at the edges to make it a little stronger, for sure. I’ve not tried it but I will and see how it goes. It should be fine with a gentle hand ☺️

I also do wire wrapping and weaving some.betm thinking you could use 30guage or even 28 guage wire to secure the petals in the center. I may try and see how that works. I love the way you explain your techniques and how clean you make everything! I just found your channel and feel even more inspired! Hello, I wonder if this component is suitable for silver plated anti-tarnish coated wire, such as Artistic? Or would the pliers & twisting break or damage the coating, thereby causing tarnish, or showing the copper core? Love to know, as I'd like to use the Artistic in silver instead of copper. Many thanks.

    • @samanthalatimer1
      @samanthalatimer1  3 месяца назад

      Good question. It depends on the plating to be honest. A good quality wire would hopefully stand up to the work but I do t think one of the clear coated wires would. Artistic could work if it was handled sensitively 🥰
