This is a beautiful song. To me the star of the song is the poetry. I wouldn’t call it contemporary nazm because it does sound modern and easier to digest, but it carries a certain level of elegance with it. I am so happy to see how this song has brought creative collaboration between India and Pakistan. I believe the fate of the two countries is intertwined and codependent on one another and the sooner we realize that, the better it will be for the people of this region. Philosophy aside, this is a beautiful song.
