- The first newspaper publication of the Declaration of Independence and even a pair of baby shoes made from the red coat of a defeated British soldier can now be viewed by the public at the Museum of the American Revolution, the first of its kind. It's opening this week in Philadelphia, just steps away from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Anthony Mason reports.

Beleave it or not, it’s the first museum in the United States dedicated to the American Revolution! WOW!
How did that canvas stay so well preserved and where did they find it I wonder?
I’ve been twice. Was hoping the intern there while I was finishing my Under grad degree in history. I got to do it at the David Library of the American Revolution in Washington’s Crossing
also Gordon n Wood wrote a great book I use for my students today. It’s very detailed and speaks directly on socioeconomic, cultural and political reasons. Not just “military history” that tries to reinforce the American exceptionalism mythology.
This is so cool. I'd love to see this one day
Fascinating
I cant wait I’m going on my 5th grade field trip only in Moosic a 2 hour and a 6 minute drive in a Martz bus
No matter what you believe, we Americans are a tough resilient nation. I'm proud of that independence and solidarity. God bless my fellow Americans, and those who want to join the cause.
Well said. And I know if we ever needed to defend our land we would certainly rise and defend her again.
You gotcha Gordon wood and your books and you think you’re wicked smaaart
Remember British are gunna be visiting this so make sure its all accurate lmao
I love this place!
Huzzah! "...the Revolution as the most important event in our history" 1:38 "The things we believe in came out of that revolution." 3:28 For more about this and the extraordinary, enabling, and ennobling character of George Washington, check out: www.LibertyKey.US
Its sad a video like this only has 16k views yet a ridiculously dumb music video of a nasty song gets tens of millions of views.
Sadly that's society on the 21st century
The museum is missing a few important battles and figure heads they seem to mention slavery more the the history of the Revolution
Oh how far lost we have become going into 2022
would never be here if my teacher didn't say so....🙄️gosh hate the american revolunary war it's so boring...
