How flat does this pack? Its hard to tell how the back looks like, but it seems as though there is no 'gap' like some other bigger bags - which is a good thing as it wont compress flat. Are there any other similar Gregory day bags that have multiple openings? Would be nice if I had a bottom opening too so I can stuff my camera gear there. The additional zippered compartment for the bladder is extra weight and pointless, especially for me since I don't use a bladder. Why did they even bother with that and not just add a pouch, like normal bags
The Citro does have a slightly arc'd back to accommodate the suspended mesh back panel. Most packs in this size range are panel loading and do not have a sleeping bag compartment. Similar bags to the Citro are the Miwok or the Intertia.
I'm torn between this and the Osprey Stratos 24, anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? I do like that this comes with the hydration reservoir and has a front mesh stretch pocket. Other than that this and the Stratos 24 seem to be pretty identical minus the Stratos 24 having an included rain cover.
Both are certainly great options! The Citro has more support and padding through the lumbar of the back panel, whereas the Stratos is more breathable in this area with less support. I'm a big fan of the stretch mesh pocket on the Citro, and love that it does include the reservoir. With both being such high quality packs, it's hard to make a bad decision!
Hi Bora, at 24 liters the Citro might be a little bit larger than what is normally expected in a mountain bike bag. However if you are comfortable with that size, it does entail a full array of compression and load bearing straps to pull it close to your body. Gregory does make a full line of mountain bike bags we encourage you to check out.
Will you cover the newer Citro models?

Whats the frame size?
Hi Katie, the current Citro 24 frame will fit a wide range of torso sizes, from 16 inches to 21 inches. Thanks for asking!
Is this good for mtbiking?
