I had the sleeve in February and like yourself I only wish I had done it sooner. I was a type 2 diabetic taking 4 insulin injections daily. As of my discharge date from the hospital I no longer on insulin. I went from an A1C of 14.1 to 5.6 I consider that #Winning. Great job Darius and continued success on your journey.

You look Amazing! I have considered that procedure as well. The only reason that I may not do it is that I have lost over 60 pounds on my own. It is a lifestyle change and takes discipline For me my issues with weight has a lot to do with "not what I'm eating but what is eating me". Blessings to you!! Keep doing what are doing!! You only have one life to live ENJOY it!!

I'm so PROUD of you. Also about your veneers. I lost you for awhile but I'm so happy I found you here. Premium Protein Shakes are prescribed by professional dietitians post sleeve surgery. Only 1gm of sugar with ALLLLLL the nutrients and vitamins you need. The shakes are great on the fly they taste amazing I use them daily.

Congratulations baby! So far, you've done a fabulous job! I knew I had not seen you for a couple of years, and when I saw you on KevinOnStage, I was like, 'I know that guy,' but I couldn't put my finger on your name because your facial features had dramatically changed. As the interview continued on, you started talking about food & I associated U to your RUclips site. Keep up the good work with your diet, exercise, and stay active--just shut the door to depression. When it tries to come upon you, shake it off! You're a bad boy! CELESTE MOORE, formerly from CHGO; ATL Peach since 1990. . . Welcome to the ATL!

I am a person blessed with a metabolism that's afforded me a lifestyle others would love! It's a curse to me, because I am able to eat things without the benefit of gaining weight. However, it doesn't exclude me from eating a balanced diet. I, like most humans can't indulge too much. If I eat too much sodium...I risk potential hypertension. If I eat too much sugar...I risk potential diabetes. I have both chronic diseases on both sides of my family. It is a heredity thing. But, my lifestyle has been...look do what you got to do, so that someone won't have to tell you can't do it. I have obesity throughout my family and it is a disease! A chronic disease, that leads to other chronic diseases! Darius good on you that you had the mean and the resources to take charge of your health and future. Without your health....you really don't have anything. It is paramount! It is wealth as much as money! Kudos! Good luck and I always enjoy your blogs, videos and happy cooking!

Oh wow. I didn't realize you had already had the procedure when I posted last week. Carb sensitivity and insulin resistance is very real. I'd gain weight on a Vegan diet because of both of those issues. The Keto WOE has been my saving grace. I'm glad the procedure is working for you. You look great! Congrats on your new journey to health. I agree, surgery is not the easy way out. I mentioned Keto in the last video, because I felt it was the safer option, not because surgery is easy. So I'm sorry if that offended you. That wasn't it at all. Surgery comes with its own set of side effects. Everyone I know that did it have issues either over eating or under eating to the point of malnourishment. You look healthy though and that's wonderful. Keep it up. 👍🏽

People have to understand that Bariatric Surgery as a tool. I had the sleeve and I went in knowing that it would help me loose 75% of my overweight. That didn’t happen for me. Out of the 150lbs I was hoping to lose (112 from the surgery), I lost 85lbs. The past year has been eating clean and working out.
I took it for granted in the beginning and gained 25lbs a year later. I’ve since lost that 25lbs and working on 65lbs.
Thank you for being transparent and educating your audience on the reality of weight loss surgery.

Hey Darius...you remind me of me...lineman material. I think obesity is a disease. When I went from a solid 250 to about 350 over a number of years. I am now 58 years old and going under the knife in two months. I have been at 350 for about 10 years and I am quite sure my brain will not let me lose the weight. It's like my thermostat is stuck at 350. Thanks for your video. Have a good day from Southern California.
