What an interesting, great and at the same time lovingly done documentary. I hope we can all preserve our roots and our heritage, no mater where we live on this world and where our families have come from. This is part of who we are and this will help us connect to each other and realize we ae are all children of God. Thanks a lot for this film!

This is a very nice and well thought out documentary. I had no idea that there was an Ital'american community up there. I will visit the center the next time I am up in Milwaukee. I was born and raised in Chicago, me being of Italian decent is quite a snooze because Chicago is (and was) drowning in us and we are a people swelling at the ankles here...no pun intended..lol🙃🤸‍♂️. The only difference is that after watching this (but I need to see it myself) if what I see here is any example of ethnic heritage, you guys have it ALL over us. Maybe it is because of our numbers or being in a major city, either way, I am glad to see you are keeping it alive. One thing though, PLEASE stop putting up the boo-hoo (I am playing my violin right now) that Italians were shat on. Guess what, their predecessors, the Germans were shat upon as well, and the Irish prior the to Germans. That is the story of immigration....no one has it any worse than the other. Germans did not come here speaking english, nor is german, even remotely close to english. Try picking up a german textbook, I did, and put it down because I was COMPLETELY confused. I'd rather take advanced arithmetic. Varda si.....la vita a l'e la vita, e la bataia a l' egal per tuit. My Italian is as crappy as everyone else here in Chicago, most of us still only speak dialects. Scunda me, che pieura pe' la gleisa reusa, a-i 'era na disgrassia pe' tute le gent en Milwaukee. I look forward to coming to see the center in Milwaukee. Basi e tant' abrass per tuit en Milwaukee. 😘

It's unfortunate that the city knocked down the "little pink church" that the immigrants built for their own people. My 87 year old uncle, who is an amateur painter painted a picture on canvas circa 1930 of that church and it still hangs in his home and he has won several awards for it.A great documentary indeed, love all the stories I was told for years as a kid by my dad and his 4 brothers, very proud of my sicilian heritage. Viva Sicilia!

Great to see the traditional faithful fill the temples. Then to see these modern 'priests' speak of 'hope'..

I hope for. The future of America the young Italians learn from the older generations. We need the ethnic culture to raise us through hard time. America works because we take all ethnic lesson and make it America!

Everyone who was in the January 6th capital insurrection should be made to watch this video. Because this is what makes America

Really wish you had my Grandfather's butcher shop in this. Joe DiMaggio's Butcher shop was an important part of the Third Ward.

Migrants can never imagine that their children will lose half of their culture by adulthood and their grandchildren will regard it totally foreign.
