Tux Penguin, you see link had anjean’s instrument. you learn early on that she gifted the flute to the royal family, one of zelda’s ancestors to be specific.
The old Hyrule together with the curse were sealed under the sea, this new Hyrule had only one evil and it was defeated, we can say that this Hyrule found peace and the hero of the spirit followed his dream of being a machin
This was one of my favourite Zelda games. I loved playing the flute on my DS. I started crying on the first song cause it brings me so many memories from when I was a kid omg
My favorite game ever, from every game I've played. This one... feels specially amazin'. Nostalgic, emotional, excitin'... Is everythin' almost perfect! ^^
Instruments and Why They Have Them Gage: Cello because they are made of wood and have a bass-y sound reminiscent of a large tree. Steem: Koto, because those originated in Asia, (maybe around the Himalayas, but probably not) and it gives a sense of something wild, immovable, and stern. Ocean Man: Flute, as it is used by islanders and is easily made with sea shells and hollow branches from islands, and is reminiscent of sea birds like seagulls and dolphin and whale calls. Embross: Timpani; gives a sense of something primal, mighty, and greatly powerful. It is my favorite one as I am also a percussionist. Rael: Shenhai, because it originated in very sandy places, and has been used in lots of desert-like music. It also fits nicely. Fun fact: Embross' drums look like toms, but they have the sound of a Timpani. Timpanies are very large and all vary in size depending on the note range. Name Meanings: Gage= Gauge, the width of the train. EX: narrow gauge trains. Steem: Steam, referring to steam trains and how they are powered. I forgot ocean guy's name. Embross: Ember, as you need fire to make steam, and embross is a cool name. Rael: Rails, the track that trains use, and maybe Rafael, a Spanish/Italian name.
I got stuck on the ocean one because my Ds mic stopped working and I came back to the game like 5 years later to play it and still struggled but then beat it 😂 thankfully I was able to complete the game and find other lokomos easy enough
Am I the only person who wishes these songs had a longer version to them as well, ones you could unlock from maybe revisiting the Lokomos after clearing the game or something like that?
Yeah it took me forever as a kid to realise that we had to make some notes shorter and others longer. And whats worse is that I remember that I kept accidentally hitting practice during all of the songs and ended up playing the same thing over 10 times before realising it was in practice mode and passed out LMAO XD
I remember watching my sister play on these levels and of course she blew pretty loud into the microphone. But when I tried them out, I blew softly and the notes were audible for me to hear. Some of the Lokomo songs were pretty hard but I got them down and the end result was so beautiful. I remember crying a little on the first song. Then when I got to beat the game and do the sacred duet with Link and Zelda, I just bawled really hard. Seeing these again as an adult makes me miss childhood. The metronome sound rings clear in my mind.
Warms my heart to see how everyone here loves this game... Is a very underrated one, and is my favorite so far. The music, the story... Is everythin' so emotional and excitin'. I wish I could play it again...
This game and Phantom Hourglass are my favorite Zelda games I have ever played. They were the very first videogames I ever played and I have a feeling they will hold the title for a very long time. I was trying to find a reference I could use for hand embroidery when I remembered the pan flute. I will be including all of these
This was my first ever Zelda game, really nostalgic hearing all these bangers again. I also love how all their names are differently spelled parts of a train/tracks
It does tell wonders about the composition in spirit tracks when you suddenly start huming the last song for no reason after years of not playing the game and completely forgetting where the song came from.
All songs fit their location perfectly. Gage's song sounds very nature loving, and is in fact so similar to Minuet of the Forest, I wonder if it's some kind of tribute. Steem's song is as harsh and cold as the heart of a strong blizzard. Carben's song kinda sounds like the ocean breeze blowing your way. Embross's song almost sounds like something a Goron would play, and usually, Gorons would occupy such a harsh and arid mountain range. Too bad there aren't any Gorons in New Hyrule. Rael's song sounds very Middle Eastern - the classic sound for a desert location. New Hyrule's version of Zelda's Lullaby isn't as iconic as the original, of course, but is just as memorable. I wish we had a sequel in New Hyrule, as Spirit Tracks is the last game in the Adult Timeline, but I doubt Nintendo would go back to the formula of pre-BOTW.
These sections killed me. I always did it wrong and the Wii U mic wasn’t picking up the wind. I’m so sure I wanted to cry from how many times I failed the fire one. I hoped it was the last one, and then I saw the sand one, got ready to break down again, then did it first try???
Playing this game back in 2012 on my DS was different... My whole friend group would sit on the couch and we would grind the multiplayer and Singleplayer. I'm turning 19 this year. I'd like to go back.
This game is the only Zelda gam that has a happy ending and it WORKS. The music is so clever, the character relationships are so wholesome, and it’s a story of healing all of the pain from Wind Waker.
I remember how much I "trained" the songs back then, especially the final one. I had goosebumps when I perfeclty hit the timing. I bet I'd die by frustration if I tried to do this today after all those years, the DS's mic really wasn't the best.
well the best thing is I keep playing the song of discovery almost all the time and I still dont have enough of it its to the point that I ran out of breath blowing the pass into the mic
I replayed it this summer and managed to beat it without any difficulties. I completed the sacred duets on the first try. Before replaying it, I had a lot of difficulties choosing a 2D Zelda as my favorite 2D game, but after beating it, I now consider Spirit Tracks as my favourite 2D Zelda game.
Im playing this game in an emulator on my phone and thoses parts are the bane of my existence, because well when i first played theses parts, the first lokomo was easy enough but the second one..., it got me stuck for 2 weeks straight and look that i still didn encounter the third lokomo so i just imagine my terror when i reach the Final music. But still, this is a good game, and thats is enough for me
Nah don't worry i'll soon stream this game (on the wii u cause it's the only way I can play it right now) and I believe I'll go through the same struggle
im playing this on emulator (cuz i love phantom hourglass but never liked spirit tracks as a kid) and i cant fucking get embrose's song right, ive been trying for 30 fucking minutes and its just impossible
The last song was so freaking emotional
On some real shit I cried during the last boss. It was just sooooooo perfect. I was legit controlling link and Zelda through tears.
The first one was kinda catchy
Same I remember beating this game when I was like 6 it brought back so many memories 😢
Two words:
goose bumps
it was the perfect build up to the song that plays in the final phase fbdjskbdjbgjdbf
It annoys me so bad how no one plays the songs in time, even though I remember how hard it is to actually do that
IKR
Yeah
if it didn’t have a metronome right under it it’d be fine but omg the clicks are there for a reason lmao
it annoys me how no one continues playing the leitmotif after the chime even though THATS HOW THE SONG IS SUPPOSED TO GO
I don't blame them for the sand lokomo song, I played the clarinet in high school and playing in 3/4 time sucked
This part of the game was responsible for making me faint.
I always accidentally started practice mode and kept trying hours not knowing what is wrong
I did this too but after 10 practises it automatically stopped for me i get that you can faint from hypoxia
When I finally completed the game, I was sad that Anjean didn't have an instrument of her own and join in on the final song...
Tux Penguin, you see link had anjean’s instrument. you learn early on that she gifted the flute to the royal family, one of zelda’s ancestors to be specific.
The Spirit Flute was Anjean's instrument. She gave it to Tetra when she arrived to New Hyrule.
Anjean?
Anjean is the Lokomo that watches over the Tower of Spirits.
Anjean is the lokomo of the tower of spirits. the other lokomos have the temples
It's sad how nobody besides us remembers the hero of trains or the spirits.
Spilled
Hero of spirits*
@@ieatneckhair8476 Hero of Spirits makes sense and in the end is best. But Hero of Trains and so funny
i will never forget myself

love the spirit zelda dancing to the music
Or at least trying to dance, considering that dress of hers
*VIBING
This was one of my favourite Zelda games. I loved playing the flute on my DS.

What a great game
I hate this damn flute

Lokomo songs: I sleep
The last song: Real sh*t!
Gege's song is actually good, because it was first and the one where I struggled the most xD
Harder than no damage challenge
XD
Right fact.
Final challenge: perfect timing on all lokomo songs
Even the fire lokomo
This game has beautiful music
Too bad I’m about to pass out.

underrated classic this game is I tell ya

Calvin Cormier Cole sad times 😂

Still here in 2021 cause of how amazing the game was

The last one took me FOREVER
No fuck the fire one took me 5 days to beat
@Fatin Asad sand one took me 3 tries
@Fatin Asad by the time I did the fire on i realized the pattern easily

fourth lokomo:embrero(i am not sure on this one)
fifth lokomo:rael

The second ones a koto
@@canadianketchupbottle4642 good to know. i had no idea what that instrument was
I love these songs there so beautiful they fit the game perfectly

Spirit Tracks and Link Between Worlds were outstanding
Ahhh~~bringing back those wonderful memories except that tunnel with that big crab lolll
I was always scared of the other trains ramming into me
Someone needs to make a full version of the end with more cause how amazing it is
Search "Sacred Duet remix." There are some great versions of it out there.

Memories. Always played this game during middle school band and beat it before the first semester ended 🤣
They could play Zelda's song in a concert
They have. It was called the Symphony of the Goddess. I went once, and it was amazing.

You know it's good music when zelda is jamming out to it when she's a freaking spirit
I actually enjoyed replaying this game and playing the songs in time
The Lokomos joining the song has the same feeling when in Pokemon BW the Gym leaders showed up at N's castle.
Am I the only one that played my part every time again when the task was done and they started to play on their own?
I had to watch this video in the background just to do this

I hate that no one plays this last notes when you cleared the song -.- like is it so difficult to get the vibe?
