Its like when your friend owns a business, don’t asl for a discount. Be fair and support their business. Its a win-win
thats hard when you're poor and/or don't have a job. I try my best to tip others (I'm an American and its the culture here) but I'm a college student graduating soon and I haven't found a job yet...

I watched this for Dongeun but this time i was a little disappointed. She was so disrespectful by wanting to wear tight outfit in a temple. Also, she took way too much of that mushrooms that the others were left by none
She is very innocent.... I think she has no clue that one cannot wear tight outfits I a temple...
And the mushrooms... Well we know that she loves her food and the stomach is a bottomless pit....
she is too innocent to understand the reason why tight outfits are not allowed.. also she offered to get more mushrooms immediately after grabbing them. shes so pure that she doesnt see the wrong in her doing.

but Buddhism in Korea isn't that uncommon and a temple stay is probably for them to learn to be appreciative of wtv limited resources they hv. altho as much as she likes & enjoys eating it may come across as greedy
Saying she is too innocent is same as saying she is ignorant, innocence on certain topics is okay but depends on age and at some point it becomes ignorance instead, especially if the topic becomes common sense
she was cute in the other episodes but this...even i felt frustrated by her actions. even if you have never been in a temple you should have not make a fuss. so unnecessary

To the point of disrespectful actually
All Koreans knows how to behave in temples and know what clothes to wear. This is TV and 100% scripted. If they had broadcasted how people really do behave at these temples none would watch it because it would be too boring. Personally I don't like how they personate Dongeun as a stupid brainless woman that only thinks about food, especially meat. It's kind of tacky and kinda sexist, but at the same time people seem to enjoy her playing that role.

It's actually entertaining tho, I find her really cool
This episode made me cringe. They were so disrespectful and the monk looked so uncomfortable. This is a temple, not a restaurant.

this is the most funniest korean variety show episode that i really like in my entire life. Boss Yang is the most sincere and honest man in front of the camera and The Director Dongeun is the most innocent yet little bit slow-minded person that i really would love to treat her until my money goes 0 on my bank account.
I see alot of people commenting bad about their table manners and Dugeun wanting to wear tight clothes. After a few episodes I guess most people that watched earlier episodes will know she is actually a "slow witted" person. For these people they ask when they have doubt. Unless she is practically acting innocent in past episodes I think her behaviour is still in acceptable range. Mind guys she isn't doing those acts for the laugh, she is asking when she doubts just like she asked the monk if she's mad. This is what then so called "slow witted" people do. So be considerate. And this is supposed to be their first temple stay, you don't expect a veteran behaviour from a beginner.
And for those saying they feel disgusted by her, I suggest you drop the show. They are not kpop idol so they actually don't really care about popularity. So take it or leave it, it's a commons human being behaviour you're seeing right there.
Forget Dugeun, her boss is the worst. Should've given her tips before going in, but he literally haggled for prices at a temple like it was a market, started eating barbarically to the point the monk had to scold him and started bothering Dugeun for food. It's his responsibility as their leader to make sure they're all well behaved but he just went there to eat so thats how things turned out. If Dugeun's actions aren't scripted and thats actually how she is then she needed someone from her team to let her know when she should or shouldn't say things, it might help her make better decisions but none of them give a shit, they're waiting for her to make a fool of herself.

They are not children, they are adult. They should do some research before coming to temple. I’m not Buddhist but I do respect other religions territory . Act accordingly to code of conduct that temple. Do some research please.
I think rather than them not knowing, this part is most likely scripted and they were told to act like that. Variety shows are like that, and not everything is their genuine reaction or how they really act.

this is the first time i am annoyed by them. u come into a temple thinking u can eat MEAT then want to wear TIGHT clothing like come on. common sense. If the lady said u cant wear tight clothes u could have apologized and quickly take it. I am Buddhist BUT I RESPECT ALL RELIGION. I am a big eater but if the host gives u tht much food u can ask politely, at most they give u 2nd serving. i dunt know why but this clip made me so annoyed and frustrated. u think a temple is a place for a discount and to eat so much. go there sincerely

The discount thing is a little annoying to watch, but the eating thing is more understandable. That's just the size of their stomach (they bulk a lot so the sheer amount of food they consume is larger), and hunger isn't a thing you can really control. For many it's not a feeling they are used to either.

@@MissyxAkunai well even if they are body builders, big or small they need to have manners. In a temple or where ever u go, the food u receive is from donations or funds. I have friends that are body builders eat like them but if it is religious or even with group outing their will always share and take one serving before taking another. This is the basic manners everyone should have. Even if they want more they would ask, "maybe i have this or does anyone still want?" I am brought up this way too. By the way no hate or anger. I just want to share. Because really this is basic of the basic. All parents have taught us since young. To share ,be humble , be respectful etc.
I understand people getting mad at Dongeun's manners but she is who she is. Her adorable characteristics might seem rude and inconsiderate in some settings. If you like her for who she is, you can't really be mad.

I usually really enjoy watching these but I have to say I felt so uncomfortable watching this part. I know a lot of variety shows like to show the struggles of people going into temples and not knowing the rules and learning but this just felt really disrespectful. The monk looked annoyed rather than amused, like kids are better disciplined than this... :(

They diss him because Boss Yang is a miser even though he makes a lot of money. It's good to save money but you should spend money when necessary. Remember that time when he made his employees renovate the roof to save money? He didn't even bring them out for dinner.

He has bought his mother things an apartment, has paid for the workers rent when covid started and keep in mind his gym was closing, he had to train them and he had to watch them for they can't eat anything they shouldn't or when they need to do gym. He pushes them in the gym and does things for them, in an episode it shows that he bought many things for his mother wasting every penny and that's why he likes to save money for his mother

While watching the video i felt so disgusted to this people. Even if your a first timer at a temple of course there will be a rule that you need to follow. But yeah even if this is a variety show or for entertainment purposes only they should act properly when the place is sacred or needed to be respected. I felt bad for them

I understand they are supposed to dress modestly. At a temple but you also have to understand the people who workout a lot and their point of view those who wear fitted clothing. Feel more comfortable in that kinda clothing.

I feel like I need to dislike this episode, they are disrespecting the monk as well as the temples rules, they talked to much and they are murmuring while in front of the monk, She is indeed funny but you need to limit sometimes, and you must know when and where to act properly. Even a kid knows how to obey rules, you are all grown up now.
Table manners as well, why are you pouring the soup directly into your bowl in front of others specially in front of the monk, it looks barbaric, and not because she says okay means IT IS OKAY, we know you are a big eater but PLEASE, have some consideration that you are at the temple and someone is waiting for you to finish. Being in a temple means refreshing every thing. If they serve you this amount of food be thankful for that food, don’t ask for more wait for them to give you more. And one more thing you just scooped out all of the mushroom without thinking that you have colleagues with you that didn’t have foods yet.

Absolutely no clue how people even find her funny in the first place, probably one of the most inconsiderate people I’ve ever seen, she really needs to learn her manners, get some common sense and stop being so self centered. Hm I think they should just be angry at their boss, rather than some of them disrespecting the monks. The holy place don't deserve such bad manners. And the monks are such nice people. Nice people should be treated nicely. Also, the boss should have prepared them mentally and warn them about their manners beforehand.

It kind of is though? A vacation is literally a trip away from your normal everyday life. People do Temple stays for a variety of reasons. Some do it for the experience and it can be relaxing. A bunch of tourists literally go there every year. Some Temples even market themselves as such. The muscle crew's etiquette may not have been up to par but it's a learning experience for them.

My wording may be due to the fact that while I’m not that religious, I live in a religious family and temple stays are not really associated with the word “vacation” - though it technically is one. To us, the word “vacation” is a time of indulgence, fun, and lightheartedness. However, temple stays do not have those meanings in our family. It is rather a time of solemness, self reflection, and enlightenment.
With that said, my original point still stands. The muscle crew are adults, and I do think they should have the maturity to be considerate of the people in the temple and keep a temporary rein on their desires.

Why did they come to the temple in the first place? Dont think that just because they paid to stay there, they can do whatever they want. If they want to eat to their hearts' content, they should go to restaurants instead.I was actually looking forward to dongeun's eating scene but this episode just made me angry at her and the boss instead.

I defend this girl. Not everyone grew up going to temples. She asked and went along when told, I see no problem. And at communal meals like such, often times if you don’t eat enough, you’ll have no food later.
But still she should have had common sense to at least leave some mushroom for the others.

It's really not that uncommon in Korea. Especially in their cases. A lot of bodybuilders etc eat every meal like it's their last.

You guys are inconsiderate, not even thinking about what type of environment she grew up in which makes her think in that way. My personality is very similar to hers. I grew up abused by my paternal grandmother(she stopped physically, but not verbally now) and everything I say somehow gets morphed by my family into something stupid. So I’m the so called retarded one in my family and that took a toll on my personality. I became more weak and I guess dumb since I ask questions like Dongeun.

And some people like wearing certain clothing like me personally I feel super self conscious about my body whenever I wear shorts or anything that shows my stretch marks or how unproportioned my body was.

I'm sorry if I wrong but why I feel like team yang's "fans" have double standard. When other people said something rude to them, you all quick to judge and angry at them. i was never a big fan of the boss because how can somebody be so openly cheap?? I get not wanting to waste electricity on unused tvs but skimping on ac and especially food wow. i would hate to work for him from seeing him on this show. in my opinion, employees must really have aggravations against their boss to publicly complain about him on tv knowing he will know everything like they do. i was so dumfounded by him coming to a place of worship and trying to haggle for a discount. like it's a humble place with already modest prices, how much more do you want??
and dongeun omg. i enjoyed seeing her food-crazed fool acts before but not anymore. she too, like the boss, needs to know her place and how to act in different places. she is a grown up. i am a little more than half her age and i don't live in korea nor am i buddhist (not that I know if she is but the point is there is so many more Buddhists in her country than my America) but I know about the basic rules and mannerisms at temples. but okay fine, let's say she truly doesn't know, well then she should educate herself and prepare for going to a temple for the first time. places of worship by no means should be treated so offhandedly. also this is not just about the temple, but she needs to care for others more. she so easily took all the mushrooms and then asked to get more side dishes. perhaps you should have done that after everyone took?? i would hate to share a meal or even a table with her because of her clear disregard for her coworkers.

wow this turned into a rant but i felt so much anger and disrespect on the admission person's and monk's behalf. i don't like knetz for the most part because they go overboard but i do hope they make dongeun and the boss realize their wrongdoings
while i agree with what you said about dongeun, i think we should give the boss a little break here for his "cheapskate" thing. when you're paying for a lot of people by yourself, especially in this case where they are all trainers that require extreme amount of food consuming, including dongeun herself that eats for like 10 people just alone without any consideration for others, adding with the payments he has for personal things like taking care of his mother, house, tax, bills, the gym and even he said before they got to the temple, they spent a lot on transportation, etc. that's one hell of money spending right there. even if you're not usually like that, the saving instinct jumps out. stuffs like discounts and all you can eat restaurants all the time is just really a smart thing to do in this case. especially when the temple itself does give out discount options, it's normal to ask for it and not too bad to negotiate for any possible ways to reduce the tremendous amount of money if you don't want to see that precious floating away. the employees might don't get it, but when if they were in the boss shoes, they might be sweating if they have to pay for a lot of peeps that eat a lot of food. and on a daily basic as a part of responsibility.
if his trainers really hate him, they would've left. they obviously know the reason, and they don't despise him either. they're probably exaggerating it.

At this point I'm getting annoyed of the girl. First her selfish eating habit and now looking for tight clothes. Bruh you are in temple. It's common sense to not be able to find and not wearing tight clothes. And if you want to eat meat why are you in a temple? The monks and the employees there are just being respectful and mabye there's cameras so they just keep quiet with their behavior.
She literally has a big stomach and cant get full easily what do you want from her to starve herself? She didnt choose the temple her boss did she had no other choice leave her the hell alone so much hate in this world do we forget where hate got us with sulli?

She just chose the one close to her liking and take everything. That's really selfish. @@20dancegirl and please don't relate every single critism to sulli case. Not every critism is negative. What sulli did was just expressing her own self, her own perception towards smgt. As long as someone's opinion doesn't affect the people around them in a bad way, it's ok to remain what they are. But obviously what the girl did here affect other people. Her friends were hungry too and you can see the monk feels uncomfortable of how the way she acts.

And the girls and boss were soo greedy that's everything BUT what being a Buddhist stands for. I'm not a Buddhist but damn I don't know how the monk was able to stay so calm even tho she practices it every day

Damn people here like to run their mouths on her, she acts how she is normally in the show. It could be her first time in a temple. And besides she went to get more mushroom for everybody else the monk did not even scold her for that. And she was mindful of the monk's reactions. So much hate from yall. It's still funny no need to insult them like they live off of being rude like that.
lol im sorry but its common sense... especially in Korea so if she didn't know that she had to 1) wear appropriate clothes and 2) be quiet and eat small portions she's either really dumb, lacks education or is putting on this "innocent and slow image" for the show
She acts how she normally does on the show, and you’re seeing it right here. Rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful, lack of common sense, and self centered. I get that she’s slow, or acting like she is, but for the love of god atleast have common sense and manners, if you can’t see how she’s all the things I just listed, you’re probably just like her so you don’t notice it, otherwise you’re just so fucked up in the head that you don’t even realize it till later in life.

I used to think all these variety shows are original but after a long time I knew it so well that this is scripted to make the show even more entertaining. Like I said in previous vids, korean sense of humour kinda weird and dense.
I think it's pretty obvious that dongeun is a bit slow or something. I mean it doesn't take a genius to figure out that she's got to be on the spectrum or something. She definitely lacks self awareness and seems emotionless so I think most of the stuff she doesn't she doesn't even know if it's good or bad thing to do. Not tryna to diagnose her but I do have family members who are on the spectrum and she exudes the same qualities. Usually I don't condone that kind of behavior but I genuinely believe she doesn't know any better. But don't know why the others are acting this way.
It's refreshing to see dongeun doesn't change who she is no matter where she goes. Not many people can be true to themselves like that. She doesn't care about anyone judging her and does what she likes. I'm not saying everything she does is okay. But for most things she does it's because she wants to do it and no one is telling her otherwise which is nice to see.
