A lot of people are complaining about how they went to a buffet, paid their initial price, and ate a lot. Isn't that exactly what other places do? You pay a certain amount of money and then stuff your face, except you leave food unlike them who finished it all. You're no better. And to the people saying that it's greed and gluttony, every buffet works like that. Please think before complaining about the fact that they went to a buffet and ate a lot of food for a cheap rice. That's what a buffet is for dude.

Nayeli Rosario Cepeda a you’re right and at the same time you’re wrong. That’s why the word proper etiquette exist. It’s indeed an eat all you can place but the way they consumed food was just very disrespectful and inconsiderable to all these kind of businesses. Eating too much meat is not very healthy and the fact that they’re promoting fitness, they should know that. I feel so bad for these business owners.
Facts. I don't even finish my food when I go to a new buffet because I'm trying stuff. But once I've gone there before I only get a lot of what I like.
이윤재 well, the business owners should be expecting these kind of customers, since they are running a buffet. Some people only eats very little amount of food, so it evens up. At the end of the day, the business owner still makes money. That's the logic for buffet business.
People really complain about how boss yang is and how he always tries to save money it's coz he did it all by himself, he went high from so low and did everything all by himself, pays and keeps his employees happy and provides his old mother bread so people and these judges who criticize him so much really gets on my nerves. He did it all by himself and he knows the amount of pain and hardwork it took him.
He understands the value of money.
She's a weird one, this girl. Lol. She doesn't want her finger nails dirty and she doesn't want wrinkles on her face so she doesn't show a lot of expression, and she is really dedicated, but then she eats like a pig and she is really absent minded lol. I feel like I can spend a day with her and not get bored of her.
But when she is eating she no longer cares about facial expression and lo and behold, wrinkles appear immediately around her eyes~

The scary fact that people are glossing over: Director Dongeun ate the least amount that day compared to her usual amount.
P.S. Professional athletes and bodybuilders need a lot of calories for the amount of energy they use up so it's also understandable why they can eat so much. Didn't Michael Phelps eat 12,000 calories a day in preparation of the Olympics?

What I was thinking, one time I got a meat buffet actually there isn't many people who actually can afford what you pay there. After a plate most people are full if you count how many 20$ payd by each member is nothing. Probably they put equality in the balance. Also they didn't waste food, what most people do when they go to a buffet.

Plus, they get a special discount for mass order (economies of scale) as well as non-retail business to business pricing (potentially less tax). Non-export grade or slightly subpar quality (visually) meat can also be served and you wouldn’t know the difference...

I don't really know the culture in Korea. But, do bosses really buy employees lunch and dinner? Because in Malaysia, we spend our money for our food because boss already gives us salary. If bosses want to treat us, that would be a bonus

Kim Honey I think for this particular industry, you can think of it like an entertainment company. The employees sometimes join competitions for the company. The company manages them, eg provide physical trainings + food to bulk up.
So at the end of the competition, a portion of the prize money goes to the company. And the company also gets publicity for being able to produce so many winners.
The meal is basically paid for by being able to use them as characters for the show, the company that produces this segment probably had also agreed to pay for the food to film it. We don't know if he treats them to these foods on a normal basis. But even if they do, they probably take it into consideration with their pay. Kind of like how when you look for jobs you not only look at the pay itself but also the fringe benefits.
It all depends on the dynamics of the company. They eat most meals with their boss so he pays for it. I'm sure even in Malaysia almost all of the time when you eat with your boss he will pay for it. It just doesn't seem as normal for you because you probably don't eat with your boss as often as they do.

It's a staged show. They would have been told about this in advanced. As well, at least they aren't ordering a lot of food and not eating it (then putting it to waste). I've worked at all you can eat restaurants before, and honestly, I'd rather have them come in than the latter. The moment you put the food on the table, even if it's untouched, you have to throw it away when they are done, and can't be reused, in case of a health hazard. It' so heartbreaking to see food go to waste, plus Korean culture it's encouraged that people eat more / be good eaters.
It's a buffet while they don't waste food is okay. Otherwise you can't be mad at someone for abiding by the rules.

The owner mentioned a plate has 600-700g of beef, which is around 1700~ calories more or less, which I doubt that an average individual can have more than a plate.
