The lady in the second story only getting a year in prison is why I hate the justice system in this country
Chris' story is amazing. There are a few cases, like Ewa Wisnierska's story, where people survived seemingly unsurviveable circumstances, most likely because it was very cold. Probably has to do with the concept of cryostasis, but when it's arbitrary, it's miraculous that it can work out like that.
By all means keep checking out Ballen's stuff! Especially 'What I saw in my room still haunts me' and 'This island kept a dark secret until 2004'... The latter is very messed up, but the ending is amazing.
It honestly depends on where the bullet land or the angle of the bullet will be at. People can survive being shot in the head. It just depends on where you get shot at.
Would it be easer not to shoot anyone and not having guns around?

When my grandpa was serving in Vietnam, he said that he helped a U.S marine who had been shot several times in the torso get to a medical tent. The next morning his sergeant or maybe it was the army doctor told him "He's fine he's on the Hope". (The Hope was the name of a hospital ship). He would explain to my grandpa that none of the enemy bullets penetrated a vital organ and so that's why the marine survived.

I- how do you not realize- we’re talking about an ignorant man who jumped off a building because he just wouldn’t listen to the reasonable people around him. Your comment sounds like you’re in the same crowd as him. He didn’t prove them wrong.
The last story, stowaways in planes go through a similar thing...usually they hide in the plane wheel area and the plane go up to altitudes with little oxygen and cold, they go to sleep and their breathing and heart rate goes down...
