RÜDESHEIM CABLE CAR (RING TOUR) | MAGNIFICENT TOUR | NIEDERWALD MONUMENT | 4K - PART 1

When we arrived in Rüdesheim am Rhein, we first explored this beautiful town. From Rüdesheim am Rhein, we bought a cable car ticket (Ring Tour) towards the Niederwald Monument which passed the Niederwald Temple, a few hundred meters further we finally reached the Niederwald Monument, which was erected just a few years later to commemorate the unification of Germany in 1871. It is now part of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the Niederwald monument, we enjoyed the stunning view of Rüdesheim, the Rhine, the Rochus Chapel on the Bingen Rochusberg and the sunlit Rheingau vineyards.We hiked through the forest towards Assmannshausen, with short stops at the artificial Rossel castle ruins built in 1774 and the Magic Cave, built not much later. When we arrived at the mountain station of the Assmannshausen cable car, we had only covered 2.5 km. With a view over the Rhine, Rheinstein Castle on the opposite bank of the Rhine and the vineyards, we then took the chairlift down to Assmanshausen a local red-wine-growing village that was quickly explored. We then took the ship back to Rüdesheim and enjoyed the view of the vineyards, the Ehrenfels castle ruins and the Mouse Tower located on an island in the Rhine. After a short stop at the Bingen pier, located on the opposite side of the Rhine, we reached the town of Rüdesheim at the end of our excursion.
