The revolver piercing it's own smoke at 3:00 is impressive game evolution.
Sorry to disappoint, but it's actually impact effects rendering incorrectly. The dark particle on black background creates the illusion. Transparency has always had issues in any game engine where translucent objects behind one object render Infront instead. There are ways around it but in dynamic gameplay it's hard to hide and this right here is an example of the bug.

There is something surreal about looking at Gordon from other people's POV.
This was damn good!
Its great to see that gmod videos have evolved from ppl simply walking around in pathetic slow speed shooting at 2-3 NPCs while those callouts like "god fucking damnit, Im empty!!" played out.
Keep this up my friend or rather i'd say ramp it up even more.

Hey skipfighter! Also an cool Half life : ALYX npcs mod is [VJ] Half life Alyx Snpc packs (1/2) and (2/2). Sometimes it doesn't appear but you can find it
It adds animations ported from Half life ALYX, some cool combine npcs and some Extras. (I dont own the mod though)
now one with barney would be awesome.

you should try using Real CSM for your videos, it has a little bit of low compatibility but it adds high quality fixed or smooth shadows
