I have a feeling a lot of the actors from this movie were happy to forget it like a bad dream themselves. How did they convince Bruce Willis to get into a bunny suit? Yeah, John Mclane in a bunny suit...and Snape was a pacifist.
North has 6 Razzie nominations to its name in 1994 for: Worst Picture (lost against Color of Night, another film starring Bruce Willis) Worst Actor for Bruce Willis (lost against Kevin Costner for Wyatt Earp) Worst Supporting Actor for Dan Aykroyd (lost against O.J. Simpson for the third Naked Gun film. He was on trial for murder at the time of his “win”) Worst Supporting Actress for Kathy Bates (lost against Rosie O’Donnell for The Flintstones, Car 54 Where Are You? and Exit to Eden) Worst Director for Rob Reiner (lost against Steven Seagal for On Deadly Ground) Worst Screenplay for Alan Zweibel (lost against the people who made 100 drafts of The Flintstones)
I'm pretty convinced that Lauren Tom didn't know that the "barren area" line was coming; look at her reaction after he says it--there's NO way that's a scripted reaction...
4:05 Wait… is he doing _Fiddler on the Roof_ ? Strange how I’m only noticing this now. I guess I didn’t know jack about that musical when I first saw the review.
The comedy is nothing but terrible puns, nationalist stereotyping, TV references. A musical number that uses the Bonanza theme, whistling the Andy Griffith theme, that Little Rascals reference, the fact that this movie is cast with comedic actor after comedic actor...
In other words, _Family Guy_ . Nah, just kidding - that show is actually funny, or at least it used to be. This movie is to _Family Guy_ as, say, the _Punky Brewster_ cartoon is to _The Ghost and Molly McGee_ - a crappy, vastly inferior predecessor that you know would be considered a knockoff if it came out after the superior show. And specifically the cartoon version - the live-action _Punky Brewster_ is a classic sitcom, and I will fight to the death on that one.
That billboard will only attract certain people to Hawaii. Herbert: So long, Chris. I'm off to Hawaii so I can have some of that nice, delicious, juicy, tender... Ham and pineapple.. Mmmm... 😋
Oh I think I get the joke...because February is the shortest month (there are only 28 days in that month and it ends on the 28th), also those Texas outfits are more 'Village People meets Rhinestone' than real Western wear. This is Andrew Lloyd Webber's version of Texas, all it needs is Sarah Brightman or Nicole Scherzinger.
I LIVE in Texas (Corpus Christi, to be exact) and I can confirm that people there don't dress like Dan and Reba did for this movie... How did Dan and Reba (and most of the other good actors) get roped into doing this movie?!?
Budget, $40 million. Box office, $7,182,747. Noteworthy for Roger Ebert saying he "hated, hated, hated, hated, hated this movie", and Ebert's partner Gene Siskel calling it "first class junk". Those negative reviews, along with dozens of others, and the intense summer competition of 1994, ultimately ensured the film's failure. Alan Zweibel, who wrote the novel it was based on, and his co-screenwriter, Andrew Scheinman, never worked on another movie until the end of The '90s. Rob Reiner, who has never regretted making North, found himself on the B-list of directors as a result of this film. This film's infamy also resulted in it only being available on VHS in the U.S. until 2012.
don't care what you all say. i liked the movie. it was a fun romp and the kids were cute. and look at all the fun we'd have missed out on in watching the nostalgia critic make fun of it. that being said, i'm not sure what the purpose in a reaction to a reaction is. bvut okay.
6:44 Meh, personally I’m grateful he’s not persecuting the Romani people, burning down Paris, or pining after the rich attorney’s elderly ugly daughter.
I'd say the 93 super mario bros movie was a masterpiece compared to this steaming pile of horse vomit! In fact, That movie was and still is my favorite guilty pleasure movie of the 90's. And it's nowhere near as bad as this here!

“You’d be sued up the arse!”
Was that pun intentional by any chance?
The same guy who directed Princess Bride directed North.
Misery too

Ouch
not gonna lie, and I know it's offensive like the rest of the movie, but the Amish scene got a laugh out of me.
I always laugh at the most inappropriate times, so your good, 😂👍
Same here.
The Hawaii father in Keone Young. You can look him up and find the movie you saw him in. Also, his wife is Lauren Tom, the voice of Amy on Futurama.

@@Unknown-bq9id I know. I couldn't believe they thought that was funny.

7:10 I hate to admit it but I actually chuckled at that joke
If this movie was released today, there would be outrage
i'm going to take a guess and say that the director probably thought no one would take this movie seriously by making everyone a stereotype.
That only works when the jokes are funny. The Simpsons is a good example of this.
15:10 That actor is Graham Greene. I mostly know him from his role as the Sioux holy man Kicking Bird in "Dances With Wolves".
He was also in The Green Mile and most recently Wind River
2:04 Any time I hear JLD’s voice, I always think of Princess Atta from _A Bug’s Life_ .
14:10 the people exercising in the background is gilad bodies in motion, it's an old workout show back in the day
Hey, Bruce Willis is awesome
This film looks like it should have been made in 1964!
It killed me more. And I'm still alive. Also, he reviewed Master of Disguise.
Oh god, Not the The Master of Disguise, 😭
Be ready. Be afraid
You know a scene is bad when the only thing you find funny is a corn on the cob.
14:43 *cough* Airplane did it better!

13:42 that does make me question: Did the movie get sued for this?
The casting is great but the story itself is awful, it's right there with Movie 43, Scary Movie, and After Last Season.

@@scottylewis8124I saw the deleted scenes for the first movie, they were the best, they should of been kept in the film.
