The Chilean Antarctic Territory and Argentine Antarctica are more or less reminiscent of their OTL borders, just without the British there to get in the way. Finally, the OFN Antarctic Administration is the Australian Antarctic Territory, Adelie Land (claimed by France), and the Ross Dependency (claimed by New Zealand) merged together.

One of the writers of Operation: Deep Freeze here! If by "We" you mean the US, in TNO the United States is the principle rival to the Nazis and Imperial Japan. Depending on player choice the US is either unironically good or merely a lesser evil; and if things go bad enough the US can even end up electing a Nazi (though this is a failstate). For the OAA, which is the Antarctic Base co-owned by the US, Australia, and New Zealand, they're good guys. The nicest among them is Edmund Hillary who is a super-wholesome pacifist science explorer guy. The least-good OAA-aligned character would be William "Rip" Robertson, an underhanded CIA agent who uses OAA resources to sponsor insurgencies and black operations, but on the plus side is genuinely trying to fight fascism and can be pretty good at it.

OTL, the Antarctic Treaty was created in response to growing tensions between Chile and Argentina, and it was created with the assistance of the UN. By contrast, in TNO, there simply wouldn't have been people in a position to get such a treaty made. Not to mention, one of the major superpowers is Nazi Germany, who would not be interested in a treaty like that. This allowed the conflict between Chile and Argentina to escalate to a full-blown war, and ultimately set the stage for Antarctica becoming yet another battlefield in the Cold War.
