This was another little ripper of a song from John. For what's not to love for he has you immersed in your feelings irrespective of the genre he chooses to sing. While the lyrics in this song were somewhat melancholy with pain and sorrow, he has the ability to sing them and still make it joyful, almost dreamy where you close your eyes and sway side to side. John needs to ease up for he gets me every time, but this time no tears lol. 🥰
As for John's family of musicians which of course include his backing vocalists, I think
at this point they're in a class of their own.
For their instruments perfectly complement John to the point where it is a synchronised masterpiece. ❤🎼
On an endnote these lyrics stood out:

There’s so much soul in John’s voice. When he sings gospel and blues it just feels so natural to John, although why would any of us be surprised in John’s mastery when it comes to his vocal ability. Great performance from John and band with this one, I love all the different genres John covers, especially rock and blues, we are truly blessed to have John music in our lives and will live on forever.

Haven’t done much today, just the shopping, play with the dogs for a bit and that’s it. I haven’t been doing well at all lately, but don’t really feel like elaborating ATM, sorry. Another great request Annie for John was rather smooth in this one. 🥰 At this point I don't think any song John does is a bad one. He's just a gift that keeps on giving.
I'm not too bad, just laying low and relaxing. For I'm in Victoria and it's cold, wet and even possible snow flurries for the Dandenong Ranges, which is just over an hour from the city of Melbourne.
