This is so awesome! Thank you for the content. My son will be doing a 347 stroker in his 61 in the next 6 months and is over the moon now that he sees yall doing this.
The valve covers are very cool, for the intake I have glass beaded the valley areas and then buffed the top of the runners for a nice contrast without putting to much time into it.Great video.
Just found you on you tube yesterday . Recognized your 47 sedan from the front end rebuild in Canadian Hot Rods magazine . This is a great channel . We are from Matlock , Manitoba . Have a '47 Ford big door coupe . Need a tee shirt and stickers .
Pulley issue is a harmonic damper issues ford has 3 depths of harmonic dampener and an old 70 mustang dampener won't work as for changed engine imbalance from 28oz to 50oz in the HO 302s in 1981/2. Nice looking 302
Cool! I knew they changed weights on the balancer, but did not know the depth changed as well. Shannon has since shimmed the water pump to work, however two weekends ago at the Monroe swap meet, we found an entire SBF front section, with an aftermarket lower pulley that looks like it will line up perfect with the water pump pulley (without shims). When I get my truck back together, we’ll be back on the 302 swap and updating the Comet series.
Currently the stock 91 mustang headers are still on the engine. I’m pretty confident they won’t work though. One of the items on our shopping list is 63 Falcon exhaust manifolds (C3 casting number) or plan B is to just build our own that fit.
@@LGKustoms thanks for replying but yea the stock ones don’t fit I’m putting a 302 out of an 89 mustang…great video nice to see old cars getting a second life
@@2shoes2socks82 yea I didn’t think they would. Looks like they’ll hit the steering box. I’ve read on some comet forums about aftermarket headers, but they’re pretty spendy, especially with shipping to Canada. So we’ll probably make our own.

Beautiful job Shannon
I love the look of it! Thanks for sharing this!! It's going to be a Great Ride!!
I think so too! Thanks for watching
Looks much cooler than it did in the 90's!
Agreed!
Great job on the 302. Looks great for a Ford lol. Seriously though, I'm looking forward to seeing it in the car.
Me too! It’ll be a little rocket!
Going to be a great upgrade! She’s going to love it!!
She’s pretty excited!

Great idea! Thanks!
That 302 looks great!
Shannon beat the 90s right out of it👍👍
And for relatively cheap too! This entire project is currently under $1000 all in

the 302 is looking sweet!
Thanks! I agree. Shannon just ordered a bunch of parts for it last week!
Sweet 👌 Looking good.........110604 miles
Thanks for the calculation!
Awesome job Lee very cool 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦
Thanks Badge!
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching!
Hope you put a steel gear on that distributor.
We have the steel gear off the original distributor to swap on to this distributor.
I put a 302 in a 62 Comet. Pretty tight fit.
Cool! We finished this swap up not long ago, and it worked out really nice.
@@LGKustoms Awesome. I just subbed. Will go back to get caught up.
Will Shannon have to change transmissions with the new engine? Hope the passport shows up so you can get to the swap meet.
She has a C4 to replace the Cruise-o-Matic. The cruise-o-matic has been slipping from the 1-2 shift since the day she bought the car
I’m in the process of doing the same swap…what headers are you using and where did you get them?…thanks in advance if you answer

@@LGKustoms I hear you on spending…funny how it snowballs so quickly well can’t wait to see the finished product good luck with everything
I don’t blame here ford wont the Ford motor … so would i….nice going Shannon
So what are those pulleys off of?
Ok I asked to soon
I believe their off a 70 Mustang. D00E is the casting prefix on the crank pulley.
100,000KM is 62,000 miles
Thanks
