I think they sound badass.. clear emperors all around... Head selection will be key for these drums... (well with any kit really) I really dig them and the other finishes as well... Platnum Mist is pretty... Piano Blck looks bad ass...antique ivory is classy... The price is right too.. oh. the Sequia Red is Viberant and very eyecatching..I'm digging this series for sure
The birch is a lil louder and aggressive, the pdp is maple and a bit warmer and more versatile. But this would be a better rock kit for playing hard rock shows probably. The pearl masters kit is great if u could save up 500 bucks more for 1500 u can get a pro kit in the pearl masters.
they would have sound better if they had keep the session prestige birch and mahogany shell compassion kupur wood sucks they also use to have a maple and mahogany shell for a limited time period all so
I like these drums...clear heads all the way...i like when he rode on the toms for a long while....great birch sound...
The attack on the kit is awesome! I will definitely check it out.
Awesome sounding kit.
Awesome mounting system on the rack toms.
Real size drum.

Brad Anderson what heads do you recommend for a clean crisp sound? Cheers
What kind of heads are on the kit for this recording? Never mind. I can see at 1:32 it's Emperors, at least on the big FT.
Just got one in sheer blue
Also put a single ply G1 on top if you want resonance for days...
Muy lindo batería Pearl suena re bien muy bien afinado
So the "13th tom bad" norm is a myth? I think this set will do well in Fusion as well. Sounds like it
Always has been. Many people take the wrong tuning approach. They go too low on the 12" and too high on the 16", leaving no sonic space for the 13".
Would thiis work for jazz and light rock like jimmy buffet stuff
Put some pinstripes on the toms, a P4 on the kick. Get a nice snare for it with a csx. I'd play the shit out of that kit!!!
bryan harris Pinstripes huh? You a two rubbers man as well.
Single ply heads ring too much for my sound tastes.
these are emperors
if i could get a 5 piece brand new for 1000.00 would you buy it or would you go pdp concept? thanks

What heads are you guys using on these?
On the video I was able to see Clear Emperors on the toms. I'm guessing clear ambassadors on the bottoms
Bộ cần mua đây .
I wouldn't buy this kit because of the Pearl mounting system. It still tugs on the tension rods and makes tuning harder. Mapex is a better way to go.
Tama is even better
Buy it and get another mounting system. Rims?

geez ...learn how to speak.
Pearl Session Studio All Birch vs Pearl Decade Maple!?
yes thats a good question
I never liked the old school 12/13/16. 10/12/16 has a much cleaner tonal spread.
i believe you can tune them how you like! i like them tight!
