Wow that really sucks man I'm sorry that happened to you. I do admire your attitude towards the whole thing you kept your chin up said your peace and moved on and still had loads of fun. Thank you.
I heard about this happening, I'm so sorry this happened to you! I had no clue when I was speaking to you at the LCQs. Thanks for sharing your opinions and emotions.
This isn’t the first video I’ve seen regarding issues at this event. This is extremely frustrating and I’m so sorry to hear this. Hopefully, hopefully next circuit these growing pains will be sorted. Thank you for sharing!
@LorcanaGoons yea bro, it was rough! I'd feel bad if it happened to someone's first big event, or anyone else could have taken that news worse...but hope they can learn from it!
@@martycruz2882 ayyy! thanks! although this was an interesting video to subscribe to, thanks for listening! feel free to check out my play lists that covers deck profiles and product opening :)
Hey man i was one of the other 4 people. I agree with your whole video i do think had they not started the pods and took the time to figure out what was going on this could have been avoided. they would have seen really quick they were overbooked and then could have made a better decision rather than starting the pods and realizing now they had no options left since the tournament had started.
I heard one of the 4 impacted sold their compensation package and it paid for the trip (hotel, flight) along with extra when they sold it to the vendors there.
@@neuromorph I could see them giving several promos since they are cheaper to make than to pay for accommodations. Would be cool if they got a foil invited to the ball or something but who knows.
Hopefully the compensation was a refund of the ticket and hotel cost at a minimum. Great attitude despite the terrible mismanagement. They need more transparency.
@edmundtetch3357 yea that's cool, everyone is different. like I said, I was fine because I had other reasons to be there. they're lucky someone like you was not affected by it because they wouldn't hear the end of it. so hopefully they'll learn from it.
@ You’re right they wouldn’t hear the end of it. It’s a huge investment to go to one of these things DLC Seattle cost me almost $1700 for the weekend. I would have expected a check in hand at a minimum for expenses incurred if something like that had occurred. I definitely wouldn’t have taken a pile of cards that I then would have had to sell to vendors while I was there, for a loss mind you, because you know the vendor needs to make money too. NOPE. Cash or check is the only way I’m shutting up in that instance.
@@AladdinsCastle23 It happens man and I get not wanting to make a scene but a scene should have been made. RB knows they got off scott free and likely this will happen again.
@CaseyHarmon no worries, things happen, mistakes happen and hopefully it can be avoided so others won't have to go through this experience. I'm still happy with the overall weekend experience so that helps lol
Weird to post a 35 minute video the experience and have an issue stating what the compensation was. Did it even compare on the financial end directly or was it something you had to hope to resell to get the loses back?
Yea, I didnt want to state the full compensation in respect to the tournament organizer manager who pulled us off to the side. At that time, it made sense because it helped pay for the cost of travel and food. But nothing can be compared to getting a guaranteed ticket to play, then flying there and then telling me I couldn't because they messed up lol. It sucks but I know other people would have made a much bigger scene than me.
I wish they would have asked for volunteers to give up spots to maybe open for those that were cut like this. I got my ticket like you and was lucky off the bat. But I was there mostly for the experience and I know for a fact I’m not competitive enough to make it far. I would have switch my spot with you. I’m proud of how most Lorcana players carry themselves though. Everyone I’ve met has been respectable, level headed and nice people. They really do need to be better organized. Overall I had a great time. For me the worst part was the artist signings. I was able to meet one and they’re always so nice. BUT what irritated me was they’d shut the line down before the end of the time slot given. I planned things so I could make it to all my planned events just for them to tell me I’m too late before the time block ends. If they wanted the artist to be DONE signing by like 6:30pm then they should have put the time blocks to close at 6/615 rather then ruin peoples plans and schedules. Thanks for your content, I’m definitely subscribing! I hope you get yours next time 🍀 🤞🏽
@keilanimaka7782 such a kind comment, thank you. I'm also sorry the line got cut off at a specific time, that should have been communicated as well. at least a warning in an email that says people have to be in line by this time so it doesn't get cut off. I just hope these are some mistakes they can learn to improve on. I have hope they do, and at least I had other things to be happy about over that weekend...thanks for your response!
@@ikaikatetuanui9340 100% agreed. Just make one big 1024 player event. Top 32 advance. They wouldn't have had to take 3 hours trying to set up each pod too
@JarretZimmerman-j5e definitely more people need to voice their opinions on the event. I believe PPG has a link on feedback on events so that might need to be explored more.
@raymondlachance7832 I appreciate you listening to the whole thing. Not sure what would have made you in a better mood listening to what I went through. Told my story, said I wasn't upset compared to other people, and spread awareness that the tournament organizer shouldn't be doing things like that. I'm probably more annoyed with the TO than your reaction to my video but it's cool. I have a great time, that's all that matters.
@AladdinsCastle23 i get having a great time. I honestly commend you for being able to do so given the circumstances you endured. I think the bigger issue is how little of an issue this actually seems to be. Like we heard of it happening but then never really heard much else. Without pushing the envelope these things are libel to keep happening. You as an initial purchaser should have NEVER been bumped out. It should have been a fill in that snuck in because of cancellations. Honestly, having known what compensation actually was, itd be easier to say "yeah, okay they made it right, lets move on" or "woah, thats terrible, how do you let that fly? And how do we as a community let that fly?" I think that's more where i was coming from. Apologies for the poorly crafted initial comment I think with 20 minutes of the video being how awesome the event was, it overshadows the actual severity of what you and others endured.
@Sxfn4lf87 yea, the other issue is that there were others that had this happen to as well. so their story or experience might be worse thab mine, because I was there for multiple reasons. me not giving out the actual compensation was in respect to one of the TO Managers who pulled us aside. it was impactful enough however, to reach the tournament organizers, other content creators, and judges. it's a whole awareness process so that it doesn't happen again. I think the story behind what I been through to get there, my excitement to an eventual disappointment could be expressed and relatable. So I know, at least for me, it's been impactful and reached many others who have commented or privately messaged about this incident.
