I was there. Ford Auditorium on the Detroit River, was home to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra - awesome acoustics. Very crazy venue. I remember Phil being one helluva showman, very comfortable with the audience. Saw Status Quo at the same venue a few weeks later.

I saw them the year before at The Michigan Palace on Grand River. 5 bands for $5 during the week.

awesome bad ass live concert, love the rawness. thin lizzy at their best was so raw gutsy. man i miss live bands like this. most bands today suck live. not lizzy in their day they could match anyone live. in 1976 this at their raw best.
