I had the DT1990s. Loved how dynamic and clear they were (sorry for the squishy terms). But the treble at times would be a knife to my ears. How do these compare to the 1990s in terms of retaining clarity, and how is the treble?
I think it's weird that you say DT770 in 250 Ohms was the only one you like but to V-Shaped, because the 80Ohms is actually less V-Shaped and has more mids.
It's been a while since I listened to the 80 Ohm, but they were way too boomy/dark in comparison to the 250 Ohm so I don't know what you're talking about.
@@Ans12237 Okay, I get that reasoning. For the same reason however the slightly overbearing, less "crisp/precise" bass of the 80 Ohm version seems to muffle the mids for me. Pick your poison I guess.
Try the Beyers Custom Studio, absolutely love them. Btw. Cause of you bought kph30i, pro82, tin t2, marshall major bt, and many more, all amazing headphones. But the Beyers are my goto now
They are pretty good. I was actually surprised. My issue is the left driver hits my ear and vibrates and i cant tell if its me or an issue with the cans.
@barbosa pereira Not better. Very similar, easier to listen too. The Dt1990 is much more analytical, can feel harsh sometimes. I run these off a tube amp and it fixes all that, plus adds a bit of warmth and staging. Quite fantastic

I've had my 250 ohm DT990s for like 4 years now, I didn't have a complaint until a couple weeks ago starting noticing how fatiguing the highs were. You're making me want to spend money...during a time I shouldn't be spending money
As far as upgrades go, this is more of a lateral move. These aren't better per say, or not much anyway, mostly just very different. Personally if you want to go to the opposite side of the spectrum I would just get some HD6XXs during the next drop and live with the 990s until then. If you need something to sample that kind of sound, I'm not even kidding, get some $30 porta pros. They're obviously not as detailed at all, but they have exactly the same character to them and they're very musical and entertaining. I genuinely like those a lot more than my $200 fidelio l1s. Hard to believe but I just genuinely like listening to them more

It's been a while since I listened to the 80 Ohm, but they were way too boomy/dark in comparison to the 250 Ohm so I don't know what you're talking about.
@@al_kaloid Well in my experience 80 Ohms has a bit less trebble, therfore the mids come through.
@@Ans12237 Okay, I get that reasoning. For the same reason however the slightly overbearing, less "crisp/precise" bass of the 80 Ohm version seems to muffle the mids for me. Pick your poison I guess.
@@al_kaloid Absolutly, Sundara is my clearity pick, so I like the DTs to blow my ears when I am in the mood.
Quick question:
Just saw your sennheiser 660s review.
If I'm able to pick between the 2 which should I pick for gaming?
I've just come to the realization that Zeos is the Lewis Black of Audio reviewers.
Seeing him live didn't help my condition.
@Kent Burgess
You must be a savant because I never made the connection until just as I read your post
I've been waiting for this for so long!!
I'm eating popcorn while watching Zeo's freak out over a hair, and beat his deck due to shipping costs, pure gold entertainment. :D
Try the Beyers Custom Studio, absolutely love them. Btw. Cause of you bought kph30i, pro82, tin t2, marshall major bt, and many more, all amazing headphones. But the Beyers are my goto now
Ugh...currently out of stock. I want these so bad.
Worthy upgrade from the status cb1? I mainly game and listen to music.
Awesome!!! The status ones are nice. But I just want something different and new... I'll probably grab a pair of tygrs then.
This headphones or Dr 990 pro ? Please i need to know
Id rather buy from manufacturer then through amazon these days. Cut the middleman taking a chunk of revenue.
How do these compare to the Vokyls?
140€ and Free shipping in Germany....I can't buy another pair of headphones already. DAMN YOU
Yes you can, don't worry, let it happen, you know you want it too :>
I just got the Koss KHP30is with import costs and now this.
So haben wir nicht gewettet.
Bought them after DMS reviewed them, absolutely love them ❤️
They are pretty good. I was actually surprised. My issue is the left driver hits my ear and vibrates and i cant tell if its me or an issue with the cans.
@@jross1798 not sure about that. The top of my ear touches the inside too, but doesn't vibrate for me
@barbosa pereira Not better. Very similar, easier to listen too. The Dt1990 is much more analytical, can feel harsh sometimes. I run these off a tube amp and it fixes all that, plus adds a bit of warmth and staging. Quite fantastic
@@jross1798 hi man, wouldn't you think that an Earpads replacement would solve the problem? The ones on the mx300 in the video seems good
Which beyerdynamics are best for gaming?
I wonder if it's possible to paint the outside of the cans to not see the gawdy TYGR logo.
these are fkin fantastic for gaming and music. love mine!
Gonna be my first purchase when I catch up on all my headphone debt lol!
How do these compare to Drop HD600s???
theres a drop down menu on amazon where you can purchase them on their own
On the DT770s 80ohm, I did this in Equalizer APO and they sound absolutely phenomenal to me now. Try it out. Maybe you can find better settings. Let me know.

These or MMX 300 ?
Why is every headphone I want sold out :(((
Oh my god that is Daniel Budiman on that Page at the very beginning of the Video!!! Recognized him immediately! Woohooo Budi geilo!
Budi und Simon haben Werbespots für Beyerdynamic gedreht
@@andysledge Ja hab ich mir gerade angeschaut, geil ehy. Beyerdynamic wird mir immer sympathischer.
there should be a “zeos without context” video
This or the AKG K712?
It has been almost 2 years and the Vokyl Erupt still don't really exist. Do you know anything about them actually coming out for sale instead of pre-order? The TYGR remind me of them kinda.
I have a like-new Vokyl Erupt, red version, that I'm looking to sell. They work perfectly and have been super enjoyable. DM if you're interested :)
Just got a pair, it's really good. It's like 1990 with better mids and better comfort at 30% price. BTW I returned my 1990 but I will defenitely keep TYGR. Great headphones!
How large is the sound atage in comparason to the AKG Q701?
@@hawaiian-cerveza I had AKG K712 Pro and AKG had much much larger soundstage.
@@michaelsi6770 thats what I was afraid of. I love the vast soundstage.
Is the tyger even close to it in comparason?
A youtuber said it was close to the 7xx.
@@hawaiian-cerveza I think soundstage is wide enough. Not 712 pro, but still wide. But Tygr are bad gaming headphones, the sound is too agressive for gaming. For music good tho.
@@hawaiian-cerveza but 1 think i dont like is soft base, like "wet poop" like someone noticed.
What did you like better Philips Fidelio X2HR or BD Tygr 300R as an allrounder (music and gaming)?
I really want to get these, but UUUUUHHHH I hate that I can't get it form amazon
Interesting question for Zeos and all, what kind of replacement pads would you use on your DT990 or 880? (Can't order EDT990V right now because of Corona)
I've had my 250 ohm DT990s for like 4 years now, I didn't have a complaint until a couple weeks ago starting noticing how fatiguing the highs were. You're making me want to spend money...during a time I shouldn't be spending money
Same seat here. Love my 990's to bits, but now is a good time to try something new! The B-Stock is still available.
Hard to believe but I just genuinely like listening to them more
How do the tygr compare to the Philips x2hr?
X2 more bass, and wider. I think the Tiger image better and have slightly more detailed highs.
@@ZReviews you making choosing gaming headphones hard. LOL
I only listen to my X2 because of dat bass. I hope the X3 can surpass it someday.
Why you deleted the sound demo?
most of them are deleted by youchoobe due to copyright issues!!
Hi mate if you had too pick between the mmx 300 gen2 or the beyerdynamic dt 880 600ohms. Or. These what would sound the best for games movies music. What would you pick is the best sounding thanks mate
What was the hellsing track he was playing @9:04?
Can you buy a hyperx cloud 2 and compare that Gaming hp. to the Tigers :P
