I am 80 and used to read the Mother West Wind stories as a child. I can see how this scene could inspire a writer 's imagination. All these little woodland creatures had names like Reddie Fox and Jimmy Skunk. This video takes me back to those days. Thanks for the memories.
Wow, “Mother West Wind” just blasted me back to my childhood, I could feel it in my chest! I can see the little library in New York City where we would get the books back in the early 60s. Haven’t thought of those books in decades. Thank you!
I have the book The Adventures of Reddy Fox , by Thornton W. Burgess. Printed 1918. It was on a bookshelf in my house growing up and I always loved the story. I’m glad I have it still :)
They don't directly compete for food and "resources" ....although minks might prey on baby muskrats and beavers if given a chance. Only the coyotes mess with the otters, tho......
Thank you so much for sharing this footage, we have a pair of otters that come through and stay for about one or two days, they move so fast we don't get to see them up close. We have a gators, osprey, many kinds of ducks, raccoons, possums, huge sandhill cranes, lizards, turtles, owls that defy nature, woodpeckers, great blue herons, and more. We love them all and don't thank God enough for their natural beauty. The video is delightful
Sounds like my place I own in Ocala National Forest. All night and day hear owls Sand hills see and hear Osprey gators black bears snakes lizards and a million others animals.
Beavers are useful but also a menace. We have a beaver dam close to our house and the water level has risen 2 metres. We are on the lookout to kill the beavers and take apart the dam and the nest. The beavers are changing the ecosystem in a place where they shouldn't. Besides... this beaver is a foreign species brought into the country in the 70s without knowing it isn't a native species. They thought pretty much all beavers were the same..
@@johanna_na No, human and all of their infrastructure change the ecosystem not the animals, you're living in place where animals live from millions years ago.
Otters, Beavers, Wolfs, Deer, Racoons, Mallard Ducks, Geese, Wood Ducks, crows, weasels, swans, frogs, teal ducks, shovel ducks, a fish.... Crazy how many different things crossed your camera.
Thank you for your application over a long time period. We are able to see the rich variety of nature, the high and lows, the dangers like thin ice involved for each species and the methods of survival for the beavers and their work ethic. You’ve certainly left your mark on a lot of people.
The perfect camera set up. I could watch this video for hours!! Didn’t realize beavers made such a crazy sound! The otters playing was great! Love that you caught some trout and catfish!
Wonderful video! Thank you so much for compiling it and sharing. The assortment of animals was wonderful and the sounds gave such a richness to the passing seasons - blackbirds, wind, water, peepers, rain, wood frogs, bull frogs, geese, mammals communicating, we are so lucky to be on such and amazing planet. Thank you again!
Just what i needed to see on a Jan night. The inevitable passing of the seasons...spring will follow winter; it always does. But each season is fascinating in its own special way. Thank you
Thank your for letting us hear those pure nature sounds❤ It was so interesting seeing this same place at different seasons, time and weather conditions:)
Simply stunning array of glorious fellows🫠the year round pov was lovely to watch too. I live in Australia in a bushy area of the Central Coast NSW, and have a plethora of beautiful visitors also, eastern water dragons, a dear swamp wallaby and her Joey, beautiful snakes, brush turkeys, whip birds, rainbow lorikeets, and a lot more besides. Hope you have a wonderful Yule, all the best. Susan@M.Lehane.👋🏻☮️🇦🇺
@michaellehane4800:Australia certainly has some cool critters. 1st year of lock down garbage I followed Megabattie out of your neck of the world. LOVED the Flying Foxes! Tee in S.W. Usa
I think it’s a relief not to have to hear someone interpreting what the animals are doing. Plus the constant jabbering. I love being in peace with the animals.
Well done!! You logged a bunch of cam critters. My most recent new cam critter is a Bobcat. Cams got it about 6 times now. I have never seen it in person. Thanks for posting. Take care.
There is some light during the night (the fox seems to have been frightened of something by looking at the camera ) ? the way the beaver uses its tail to swim, as if sculling, is amazing. Images of an otter with its young are rare. Good job indeed.
Excellent location. Bad luck this season, set up trail cam and somehow it was set to a 30 sec delay. Finally figured it out when I got 31 videos of nothing. Always a thrill after leaving them out for a while.
My home of 30 years is on land that includes a creek and wetlands and abuts a huge greenbelt, so I am fortunate to see many of these animals, especially the deer that come to the front door begging for a snack, on a regular basis. I am curious as to whether you have any experience with other trail cams. I see the one linked has few reviews and is not rated especially highly. This is fun to watch - and prompts me to get off the couch and see if anyone is at the front door.
Never expected to see fish at night on a trail cam. Those bullheads were on the hunt for small fish. People think they're bottom feeders, but at night they turn into active predators. I saw the same behavior in a native-fish aquarium I used to have.
GREAT and AMAZING.........I was expecting to see the Loch Ness monster at any second !!!!! HA........ Seriously, this was VERY good and entertaining. THANK YOU
Thanks for NO BACKGROUND MUSIC! Love nothing but the SOUNDS OF NATURE!!!
I turn off videos with background music immediately, no matter the subject!
Yes , so refreshing ❤
the otters sliding on the snow and ice is the most adorable thing ever....
Absolutely!
That was super cute
For real! 🤗🤗
Totally agree, made me giggle.
Yea that was cool to see how playful they are. You can see them thinking such an awesome animal.
I applaud your ability to hold the camera still for a year
Funniest thing I read all day
Good one ! 🤣
Let’s not exaggerate. At 6:25 you can no longer see the far bank.
@@mike4523 Give him a break. You'd get tired too. This is probably like 3 months in!
His feet must have gotten really puckered.
Fantastic video. We need more of this kind of thing on RUclips.
If you look for it ,you will find it it's out there

And the Merry Little Breezes. Do you remember how it was that Granny and Reddy Fox lived like poor people? Kind of slapdash.
I have the book The Adventures of Reddy Fox , by Thornton W. Burgess. Printed 1918. It was on a bookshelf in my house growing up and I always loved the story. I’m glad I have it still :)
I am 78 and I grew up on those books. So wonderful and imaginative.❣️
I grew up with these books as well, and I'm 55! Also, all of "The Adventures of..." books.
Wow - muskrat , mink , otter and beaver all in the same small body of water...THAT was really cool...thanks for sharing this !!
They don't directly compete for food and "resources" ....although minks might prey on baby muskrats and beavers if given a chance. Only the coyotes mess with the otters, tho......
Yay! I wondered if that was a muskrat! Go me!
I was also trying to figure out what swam or slithered over to bother the catfish at about 8:55. 👀
You left out raccoon and deer.
The diversity of wildlife at this one location is astounding! I was most surprised the cam captured fish at night!
This is better than any Hollywood movie. I could watch them all day. Greatfootage. Wonderful to see such a good diversity of animals.
... are you a cat? lol
@@MmmHuggles that was funny. 😀
Thank you for the sights and sounds of nature and the absence of instrumental soundtrack. Beautiful.
The sound of water brings me such peace, and combined with the animals and birds, it is peace and joy. Thank you!
I absolutely love 💕 this, no narrator, no music, just the sounds of nature.
Such a diverse and rich ecosystem! Thanks for sharing

One of the coolest trail cam videos ever!
And this is a biodiverse habitat thanks to the beavers' hard work. Thanks for the lovely images.
Thank you. I'm not sure many people know that.

It is amazing to see what wildlife is passing by the same spot day in and day out.
Great job. !!!
Thank you for no music or commentary. Amazing

All I can say is… this is excellent! Thank you for putting this together! Really enjoyed it.
I love the sound this picked up!!
This is really fascinating, beautiful nature footage. So much diversity of nature.
Great highlights video! Pretty cool you were able to pick up those catfish, and I loved the way that one took off when the leech swam up to it
I wondered what that was! Thanks for identifying
Undisturbed nature. Amazing. Thank you. 💜
So cool to see the wood ducks go from vibrant mating colors to eclipse. Great video
Watching this was wonderful and ended up funny as my cat started watching. his interest was hilarious. Thank YOU!❤
Great video. Thank you for no music or commentary. And thank you for editing all that great footage down.
Super cute. Today I learned deer can splay their hooves! Thank you for that!

Best thing I've ever watched on RUclips

The comments sum this up, and what an amazing capture. Thankyou from Brisbane Australia. Respect!
I love that even the fish are triggering the camera! Awesome footage.
I live in Minnesota and these sounds make me long for summer! What a wonderful video. Gave me a little joy today!
Serenity of it all is priceless !
Probably the most amazing thing is how many critters notice the camera!
Some cameras glow red for night shots. I have experienced the same thing.
@littleelvis4809 yep my trail cam does that but some of the deer were in the day time too.
The smell
I noticed that on my cameras, got a ton of pictures of deer noses, they all check in out !
Great video. Shows the diversification of all the species.
This is beautiful and so relaxing to watch. Thank you!
I love the nighttime views of the fish in the water.

Amazing number of wildlife that uses the same water areas. Shows how important those ponds is needed by the diverse animals. Thumbs Up!

Wish they were longer I could watch this all day so relaxing❤❤❤❤
This was great. The fish looked like they were in the night sky. So cool how Gods creation just gets along in the river
Thank you for sharing this. I live in the city and this is just so peaceful.
That was awesome! And as another person said, good to hear their real noises not music. Well done!
So beautiful! Thank you!
Great Video. The only thing remotely human I heard was a Back-Up Warning Beeper that one of the Otter was apparently using.
✌️
Thank you for sharing this. It's so peaceful and cool to see nature at It's best .
Soooo cute and soooo smart too, a lot of them are curious to your trail cam and coming right up to it ♥️😊
Thank you! The time it must take to edit a full year’s worth of film is amazing in itself! But I loved your video and watched this more than once!
