Actually it’s possible cause you can set it that way. Where you have to manually turn it off. You know how all the computers have timers? When the computer turns off by itself? Well her computer probably have long hours. So I think is pretty realistic.
Just by analyzing this scene alone, I can make that assumption; however, if we analyze the character, is s/he careless person or is s/he pretty careful, then we can conclude if this scene is realistic or not. Because a careful person can’t suddenly be careless, right? Also, we have to consider what was this character doing before this scene took place. So, there are a lot to consider before concluding it.

She's living in a home with a 'daughter-in-law' whom she knows is untrustworthy1 So again, unrealistic that she would leave in computer in a way for to access, or indeed for not locked away from even her 'so called husband1' So yes, unrealistic knowing whom she lives with!
