Well done, no blocking of the dial with your hands. Your voice was clear and concise. Thanks for taking the time to show us how to regenerate a Kinetico Water Softener. If you could be so kind and make a video showing how to adjust the float correctly. Again, thank you .

Thank you very much for posting this. We just moved into a house with a water softener and we didn't have one before. We ran out of salt, I refilled it and expected it to just pick up where it left off. After I hadn't heard it run for a couple days, I started doing some research online (I don't have a manual) and I found this video. Did exactly as you said and it fired right on! Thanks again.

6-20-2021, Hi. I have a K-50 Kinetico softener that has not been coming on and water is staying hard. It's always worked fine before and is about 20 years old. It has been like this for about 30 days. I did not run out of salt. There does not appear to be a salt bridge/dam either. I turned on a cold bath faucet full open and the #6 gear I have clicks clicks once clockwise (to the right) about every 25 seconds...so it's measuring water and turning.
I manually turned the top-side dial Phillips screw clockwise, 360 degrees 3 or 4 times, very, very, very slowly, with the screw depressed and not depressed, and a Brine cycle never kicks on at any point. It turns freely either way, clockwise and counterclockwise, whether the screw is depressed or not. But when the screw is depressed, it will stop at the 6-o'clock position and I have to release it and turn it a little past that point not-depressed to allow it to be depressed again.
What is the issue? Everything seems to be working on the top end. Thanks!

I did this, but my softener is still running constantly. We used NO water today to test this, and it's running constantly. Any ideas what to do? Should I regenerate it again?

At the end of your video - Do you have to do it again in 45 minutes?
Do you set it to another position then brine again for regeneration after 45 minutes?

Morgan, after watching the video that I'll link below, it dawned on me the reason to regenerate a second time or after 45 minutes; the second regeneration is for the second tank, this is how Kinetico supplies continuous soft water - two tanks. The first regeneration does the first tank, the second regeneration does the second.

Mine doesn’t wanna regenerate. I see it moving around but won’t work. I did it a while back with no problems. Now it just won’t do anything.
