JT Miller can't be faulted for his emotional attitude, because he's proven himself to be a consistent team leader over the last several seasons. HIs stats prove it. If there is a conflict with Tocchett, that's not a good thing and it needs to be resolved. Benching him is highly undesirable. When JT Miller is scoring goals and making plays, Canucks win a lot more, and we need to see him getting back on track ASAP.
Yes Petterson is looking a little better, now tied with Boeser at #131 in the NHL League Leaders with 6 goals, 5 assists. But I'm not celebrating until he gets up into the Top 20, where he should be, with his huge contract and franchise superstar expectations. It's not just about stats, though. I still think he is over-rated, and I don't see him as a team leader the fans deserve for the 5th highest paid player in the NHL. If he turns into a Matthews, McDavid, Mackinnon, Panaran, Dreisatl or other top superstar, nobody would be happier than myself, but that's just a fantasy at this point.
