I know this is an old video but, DAMN what a sweet work truck ! 😁✌
love your thot-provoking, humorous info on vehicles as well as bits of physics, engineering and family quips--you have a great way about you!
"Hey mate, I got this mad Subaru for you here."
"Yeah one sec this van is way cooler, let me finish checking it out."
😂
You have no idea how many Blitzens we have sold...? haha
if i could only own a blitzen...
It's like a double cab pick-up but actually useful!
True
I love it! +PacificCoastAuto I would love to see you guys do more of these more industrial/utilitarian video walk arounds. I could totally see myself buying a rig like this and making it into a camper vehicle..I even watched this one twice! Thanks for sharing
You'd be better off buying the same platform with the extended flat bed so you'd have less to 'throw away' and more money in your pocket for the conversion. Plain flat beds are a dime a dozen compared to these service trucks which are specialised and thus fetch more.
I absolutely love it - how cool would it be to make this into a racecar support vehicle and carry like tools and extra parts - even can work for off road racecars! - this thing is cming on my bucket list!
Dakar support vehicle?
+PacificCoastAuto they've used already
I love this channel. Keep doing stuff like this!
Nice truck, very useful for service companies.
That would be a awesome zombie apocalypse vehicle!!! Paint, light armor, different tires etc etc
You have the right idea. I like your ideas.
A proper bullbar in front... a zombie bar!
hey man! nice blitzen!
on another note, I just saw an ex-firetruck imported from Japan driven by a contractor and its still got all the writing all over like aichi ken fire department #5 etc.
actually it doesn't turn anyone's head at all these trucks look perfectly fitted for the job and the environment. that one only caught my eyes coz it was red with red steel wheels so it's very...bright red.
Why : blitzen ?
UserName That's the model. It's a limited edition Legacy that Blitzen designed, and Porsche actually helped with the transmission.
always nice to have different vehicles reviewed!
plz show us industrial cars if you have such as toyata hiace, nissan caravan, trucks buses love tm
If you put it it series you double the voltage as a result the device would be getting twice the voltage which would make it spin faster.
If it's in parallel the voltage remains the same but the appliance just has a back up supply.
Good price, simple, durable truck!
Not a lot of Toyoace material out there so really appreciate the vid.
Awesome video! Love watching your review videos, keep them coming!
When Andrew is back, I’m going to have you guys find me one JUST LIKE THIS!
Split rims dont go in a cage to take them apart as the air pressure must be released first which eliminates the risk. Filling up a tire on a split rim requires a safety cage to catch the ring in the event there is s catastrophic failure. Most big truck shops are equipped to handle split rims but it is best to change them to standard tubeless rims/tires.........i want a dual cab 4x4 myself so will be watching your auction site.
love all your review videos keep them coming
in Portugal they are sold under the name of Toyota Dyna and we have all sorts of configurations
Hooks could be for welding cables or extension cords or even oxy torch hoses.
interior panels like a 79toy4x4longBed
Batteries in parallel you get same voltage as one battery but twice the amps, series you get twice the voltage but same amps as one battery. So series will make the fan spin faster.
Parallel will either give you double the current or double the run time.
Tried to look at your auction from your website, it listed no vehicles at the auction. Still in business???
That would be ideal for someone who does grounds maintenance or gardening.
I love this truck.
Did someone touch you with a scorpion? LOL
I'm absolute truck fan and this is one pretty nice
peep the skyline in the right corner.. looks nice
hey there,im very interested in one of these(i had one but 4x2),im dreaming of a 4x4 deisel, however can we import them to australia?id so appreciate your expertise please?
kind regards
G
That button on the dash is a centre differential lock
it is as awesome as i thought it would be
Is it possible to import a car not 25 years old into the USA if you plan on putting it into storage until the 25 year rule is up? Or would customs get angry?
Lol... Customs doesn't like it very much if they think you are trying to sneak one past them Storage at the port is $500 a month. Better to store in Japan.
I thought that would be the answer. Do you know if most companies charge for storage? Thanks for the reply!
No, you are not even allowed to import a vehicle in that soon. Unless its for a certain reason (race cars, show cars) and they have to be sent back and the DOT WILL CHECK
I'd love to have a truck like this. During the summer, I mow the lawn and to have a truck that can carry a lawn mower, and gasoline, etc, that'd be awesome!
Question about things you find in vehicles such as gloves and cigarette butts, when you find things that are left in cars do you remove them prior to shipping, or leave them in the vehicle? I read somewhere that Rivsu I believe ran into some issues with customs and cigarette butts left in the ashtray.
We remove all the cigarette butts and have a company at the port wash the vehicle s(for Canada and the USA). If the cars are dirty, customs makes you clean it at a bio-secure facility and it is over $1000. Things like gloves are often just left in the car. There are some threads online about strange things found in imported cars.
PacificCoastAuto how much cost wash car in Japan harbor ?? Before shipping the to USA??
What would be the towing capacity on this amazing vehicle?
Depends on the vehicle weight, but my boss has a dihatsu delta a bit bigger than that with probably 3 ton carry capacity and we've had 5 ton of wood on the back and a 2 ton bobcat in tow on a 1 ton plant trailer. So basically as much as you feel safe to tow hah, if it doesn't move or pushes you when using the breaks, safe to say it's overloaded xD
*If I would of been walking down thru the parking lot and saw you climb in , I would of locked you in 😈 So sometimes your fears are not so irrational after all... lol nice truck*
Nice little truck
Hi Derek !!
Do you ship them in to USA via container or RoRo???
Whatever you prefer, we do both.
Weird looking vehicle but a good walkaround!
Any chance of a video on the Celsior?
Loving the vids! Not gonna answer cause I have no clue what series or w.e means
just for a quick lesson, batteries in series will give you increased voltage, but won't have longer life. batteries in parallel will give you longer life but won't have increased voltage.
how much would something like that cost? if you don't mind me asking
parallel is slower. )
a wagon blitzen six! mean! make a video! please. ^_^
did you ever sell a Mitsubishi Strada?
Would like one of these for window cleaning service truck. 🙂
Nice cassette radio can play some Elvis Presley types
Still exporting these to Canada?
Way cool ,thanks.
I want this so bad.
Espero algún día este modelo esté en mexico
do you export to new zealand
Isuzu Elf and Isuzu Giga are here in America as the Chevrolet/GMC W-Series and T-series
split rims are also known as widow makers because its what you said about split rims cuz they kill ya
Is this kei service vehicle?
*That one little crack about the door locks. "It doesn't have Central unlocking, you have to unlock them 80's style." That is a bunch of BS!! I was driving then, my car had Central locking/unlocking, my mom's car was from 1974 it had Central locking/unlocking as a matter of fact the majority of all the cars in the 80's had Central locking/unlocking doors!!!!*
*Maybe you should've said 50's or 60's but not 80's that's insulting!! I'll give you a break since you're just a young pup!!!*
*_Take care and God bless you my friend!!!_*
I'm not that young any more. I have reached the dreaded "middle ages".
All my 1980s and (prior cars) had no central locking
Mini
Celica
Corolla GT-S
Camry
Toyota 4x4 Pickup
Niva
That's right, I owned a Niva...lol
The same thing goes with most Japanese manufacturers. Central locking has been around for a while but there are plenty of 80s cars that didn't have it.
PacificCoastAuto love your response man. Anyway, according to my experience owning Japanese vehicle, even cars built in early 90s doesn't have one as standard. But it was common for dealer to add them later. It was PnP universal module that fit every car or brand. It uses driver's lock as master and slave the rest of the locks. Modern locking system uses switch and independent to driver side lock.
Goofy bird sound yep you're in Japan
Roof top tent dream truck.
Film canister = Gonja storage. Marty
I wonder how many times the camera shops get secret stashes... you know, short term memory loss and all.
in parallel?
parallel is longer battery life, series is increased voltage
was half expecting a corpse to be in the big container. TV has ruined me
We must remove all corpses prior to shipping... ;-)
How much was this + shipping
Prices
I want it
Hey, can you get me one of these??
In the future please don't post anything with out a price .
For pak m2
2001 tires and you made this video in 2016 which makes those tires OLD and not safe. Tires older than seven years should not be put into use especially when the vehicle has been parked outdoors its entire life. Those tires at the time of your video were easily seven years past their safe life.
Limited slip hubs?.............
I think that doesn't exist.
It was too much stupid in my head when speaking.. One of the problems with shooting these in one take. I often say stupid things, but don't want to back up and re-shoot the video.
Limited slip is another way to do the same thing but locks at the differential. Some 4WD cars have full locking differentials with no slip and some have limited slip.
Cars with manual hub locks will not have diff locks on the same axle.
Hub locks can come in manual (mostly better) or auto locking (usually worse). I meant that the manual ones are better than the auto ones because they are more dependable when you need them.
quien m puede ofrecer ese. ...aquí en lima Peru
NOBODY even gave this truck a basic clean out ,NOT GOOD
