I disagree w one of the comments. The problem here in the western hemisphere is we want to be over compensated for the work we do. This young woman does what she does because she needs to, that's all. Now, whether or not she's compensated from the making of the video or not, she obviously represents the mentality of a people who live simply and aren't afraid to work hard for it. In my opinion, the correlation between quality and compensation, effort and compensation, is that when money is taking out of the equation both quality and effort go up because the motive is different. Anyway, just my opinion.

I thought the same thing, which leads to my only question: what did ancient people who would've lived in dwellings like this (or even current primitive people who may still live exactly like this) do when monsoon season came??? I've seen many images of raised of floating dwellings, but I wonder what would happen to this structure during such an intense period of rain? At first I thought she was going to seal it up and make it pretty much like a hobbit hole lol... but since she didn't, my question remains...otherwise, this is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in the internet and I want to go in my backyard right now and build this. We've got *similar* conditions in coastal Alabama so I truly could pull something like this off if I had the time lol. I can see me at 43 with rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, and a heart defect out in the woods with my faithful cat and a stick, boldly going forth to build us a dwelling!!! Lol

    Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV 🔴
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; [20] but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. [21] For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. .

No Gloves?? .. Her hands must be like Steel.
I’m sure there is a small excavator nearby to help Off Camera.. 🙃 … But still, much respect for her skill 💯

I was thinking the very same thing…her hands should be raw and calloused after all that digging with a rough stick and scraping dirt with her bare hands.

So digging out your little home straight doen like that, what happens when you have a down pour of rain? Does turn your home into a swimming pool because there is no way a roof like that would survive a tropical monsson rain and that looks a lot like it wiuld be a place that gets those very kinds of rainy days.

Does she live in San Francisco? With the rise in rent there, penty of people are going to benefit for those skills and I'm not talking about the Tenderloin residents.

Anyone who believes these things are even remotely built like they display you are mistaken. They have whole crews and heavy equipment to do almost all the work. Don’t get me wrong I like the ideas and final project.
