The sound of a McLaren is just so intoxicating. That said, I think I would rather wait to see what Chevrolet has in store for the Z06/ZR1 C8. I have a feeling the C8 is going to out perform McLaren in all aspects and do it at a bargain basement (in comparison anyway) price. Thank you, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
The 600LT is a 3,000lb carbon tubbed, supercar with hydraulic steering. The C8 ZR1/Z06 may be able to put up better numbers but to the driving enthusiast I highly doubt the Corvette will will measure up. I was watching an interview recently with Chris Harris and he was even saying he could care less what the numbers are (not that a 10.4 sec@137MPH 1/4 mile is slow) because the 600LT has the best steering feel hands down of any new car that’s currently for sale and what an unmatched driving experience it is. A C8 Stingray is a 3,640lb car as it is, add bigger wheels/brakes/supercharger or turbochargers and the weight is inevitably going to go closer to 4,000lbs, not to mention the Corvettes compromised design looks to many like a bit of a Chinese knockoff of a supercar. Is it a great car for the money? Without a doubt it’s the best high performance value ever, but it won’t beat this Mclaren in “all aspects”

I finally got to drive one a few months ago and was surprised by how much turbo lag it had. A lot more than something like a Ferrari 488.
